Why is everyone so sure that the AMOLED screen will be a great thing? I've heard a lot of people don't like it on the N1 because it gets washed out in direct sunlight. Is this screen going to be a problem when I'm using Google Nav in my car and its sunny out?

Unless your phone is pointing TOWARDS the sun, you won't have a problem.

I'm sure I missed it in all the messages... any ideas as to why the back of the Incredible is not smooth as in all other phones?

Not sure if this is true, but I remember hearing the idea that the 8mp camera required extra spacing, hence the protruding rear-end.

LOL, definitely a shy way of asking. You may want to take the "freak" out of your screen name and replace it with tech"holds a stable job and will treat daughters with respect111". That may help a bit.

EVO 4G could end up with Verizon next year as well.

There is always going to be a newer, better phone coming out every couple months. I'm going to buy the Incredible, and worry about my next phone when I'm ready to upgrade again. Maybe I'll see some of these same people in a new forum at that point?

You mean the same camera that's in the smooth-backed SS/Evo?

It's just a design thing. No deeper meaning than that. I have little doubt it would be possible to manufacture a backplate that is smooth to fit it. Something for the aftermarket to worry about. I couldn't care less about the shape of the backplate, personally.

Because it keeps getting bumped and bruised trying to get out of the infamous box. its a dangerous job, but its keeps trying, thats why its called the Incredible. lol
