I'm not even joking. I power cycled my phone off, and then turned it on today, and it said I had an update. I figured it was for another app, since I didn't use Astro this time to re-install all my apps. It wasn't for a market app. It was for 2.1! Did anyone else in the New York City Metro Area get it?

Noticed right off the bat; Battery Life seems better. It's running much smoother now too. HTC Sense for Facebook actually works! I finally can see all my contacts as their Facebook links!! Will post pictures in a bit, I have to find the SDK app on my computer so i can do screenshots.
 
Er, showing a screenshot of my phone saying 2.1 won't prove anything, what would you guys like?
 
Jeez W4lly...You could at least wait till midnight on the 1st and be a real April fool. I had one full second of hope before reality set in.
 
It's 1:31Am here in new york. I don't see how this is far fetched. When we first got the leak it was about the same time as this. I remember because then I didn't go to sleep that night..

Baseband: 2.51.04.02.02

Kernel version: 2.7.29-565a4a16

I never cheked what mine was before the leaks. I had both the first and second leak.
 
Please tell me you're serious and this is not a crappy April fools joke. If this is real thank you for posting, if not you are an asshole. I'm desperately hoping your telling the truth though.
 
Hey, actually you can actually take a screenshot of your phone showing the kernel version and the baseband, that would be legit.

i mean it's would be easy to just write up a fake number, but to photographically create a fake, that would be impressive.

okay... How in the hell do i change it so I don't get Email Notifications that people have responded to this thread.. I am going to wake Up in the morning with 500 new emails!!!!

(Yes i changed the settings and I am still getting emails)
 
cough up the goods already, screen shots or exile! I'm waiting for the OTA which is killing me and I'm just gullible enough to believe that all my waiting is about to end. So what's the final word? real or fools?
 
As a guy who works with Photoshop all day, every day (not an expert, but know what it's capable of)... I think I'd rather see a camera shot OF the screen rather than a screenshot itself. I know how easily numbers can be copied and pasted around to make it look seamless. :p

And just because I rebooted my phone just now, doesn't mean I fell for the April Fool's joke.

No update yet for me.

(If this is true, potentially in W4LLY's defense, I know that Verizon used to always have a horrible habit of releasing OTA updates to "larger" markets first, then on down to "smaller" ones. I know this because I'm in a "smaller" one.)

Proof will be in the pudding. :rolleyes:

This. Looking at the 2nd leak numbers, they are awfully similar to what you posted with the exception of 3 or 4 individual numbers.

Just got an email from Santa Claus. He says he just got the update too. He says it's nice, but still a little laggy. He's gonna ask himself for an Incredible.

I'll post a screen shot of the email as soon I get this flying monkey out of my ass.
