Being part of this forum, I have yet to see anything useful come out of testman.verizonwireless.com
That being said, hasn't the BOGO on smartphones already expired as of midnight last night? The reason I ask is because if that's the case, then testman is actually behind the current site which only advertises the current BOGO for the Palm devices - their current promotion.
As has been mentioned probably 100 pages back now by now, Verizon has a very good idea who is accessing the testman site and from where. Every time a person from the forum navigates from this site to the testman site, it records the domain traffic. I know it is a conspiracy type theory, but it looks as if they would leave information off of there on purpose. In this case, if I am not mistaken - testman isn't even as "updated" as the regular site.
But...I could totally be wrong.
And Kappy, was meeting my wife for dinner last night which happened to be next door to our VZW stores, and they were in the process of putting up posters advertising the Palm devices. Don't know if this is what you were talking about earlier, but might be.

So I haven't posted in a while, but did some research today. Not sure what it means, but the promotions seem to have changed. I looked at the VZW site using the regular link and my corporate discount link and the only phones that are BOGO are the Palms. I guess they still have a large stock they are trying to get. The other smartphone are by one get three select phones free. The DROID is still priced as $199.
I emailed my contact for my corporate discount yesterday and she is still giving me the line of Late April/Early May. I was trying to get her to say that if I get another phone today that the Incredible will be out within the 30 day period. I am currently on AT&T and considering switching for the Incredible. I am close to getting the Eris and just hoping. My wife is complaining about her phone (I even had to switch her to an old phone that I had laying around). I am not sure how much longer I can hold her off on a new phone.
I hope that April 17th is good information. After following this forum for a little bit, it seems that the sources seem to be well connected. I think that the on order number could be misleading, since the order could have been placed weeks ago, but they are just waiting to get the order in.

I have to agree with the many who've found that VZW CS reps in store aren't always the most informed or motivated (no offense to those in the forums that are/were VZW reps...the fact that you're here disproves that in your case). Anyway, we were in our VZW (corporate store I think) about 8 months ago activating an old phone on a pay-as-you-go for my husband who wanted to see if he'd actually use his own cell line. I casually asked the rep who was helping us if VZW had any plans to release any Android phones & he looked at me with the most blank stare and asked me what that was! Said he had never heard of it. So I gave him the brief 411 on Android/Google, etc and he was completely overwhelmed and just said he had no idea what it even was. My husband and I both left shaking our heads wondering how you could work in the cell phone business and not keep up at all with what's going on in your market sector.
Not that that adds anything regarding the Incredible but just to say don't worry too much if a VZW rep doesn't know the latest news.

I wouldn't expect much... they are all pretty much mindless sales people.
I was there looking at phones for my parents over Christmas and they insisted that my parents need a Blackberry because they were BOGO or something.
I asked them about a phone (a rugged phone like the G'z One)that was out on VZW's site, but not in their store, and they had no clue what I was talking about.
Enjoy the 'mall'...

Well, I woke up and rrrrrushed down to the lappy in order to get caught up on the AF news. What I found was a picture of the Incredible on the Verizon site. I admit, whereas I immediately knew it was a prank, my heart skipped a beat and I went to check it out. It wasn't there. Oh, the sadness.
To all the new folks introducing themselves and coming out of the closet from lurking, a warm "hello!"
To kappy: Okaaaaay, I'll try to keep the faith. It's hard. That VZ mockup picture had me this close to a new Incredible.
To the kid whose GF put him on probation: STAND YOUR GROUND, WIMP!
Regarding switching to a temorary Droid, It seems like a bookkeeping nightmare to me, but i am intrigued.
Well, there you have it.... this is it for me. I'll catch back up with you when the freaking fone comes out.
