True and when there is info. It'll be posted here first! We can't just make stuff up and post it. Well we could, but that would defeat the purpose.

How about new info. or supposed new info be posted (by the postee) in a different color? Like Pink or Blue or something so it sticks out! That way people will know how to differentiate?
 
While I agree the thread is hard to read, I think Anon addressed the off-topicness of the thread in the first post.

My opinion is to let this thread fly, but as soon as there is official information, creat and Official Release thread.

I think that's what the "thanks" is for. Unfortunately, all the regular chatters like to thank each other for funny posts, so a lot of the time it doesn't really work. I personally have no problem with chatter, but with the sheer volume of it here, it seems like you guys could have a separate "Off-topic" thread.

Couldn't agree more. I dont come on to a tech forum to meet people. And by the way there aren't that many engaging or interesting people on this thing. Just people with WAY too much time on their hands posting things that are intended to be humorous but almost never are! I read only 5% of the posts now, anything with multiple "thank yous" or anything with a hyperlink.
The "no one forced you to read this" argument is stupid. This is the best place to get up to the minute information/leaks but unfortunately you have to sift through the crap to find it. Flame away, i really dont care...unlike many here im not trying to make friends on this this site.
 
I actually enjoy some of the off topic chatter. Keeps it interesting and light hearted. Just pick and choose. Then when you want some real news, find the multiple 'thanks' or the few who actually post relevant info.

At this point, with as long as this thread has gone on, and with the number of people following, keeping it strictly on topic is an excercise in futility. Also, it really isn't that hard to find info when you are sifting through the pages... Go through and look for Posts by NKT or look for anything with 10+ Thanks

Anytime anyone posts anything with even a semblence of new info, it gets thanked 50+ times. Those posts jump off the page at you when you scan through if all you want is info.

I think the "imbicile chat" is their/our way of dealing with all the pain involved in the hunting of this elusive phone.

Maybe you're right. Can we rename this thread to "Official Chat Thread (with the rare detail about the Incredible)"?
 
this thread is pretty ridiculous but the only thing that keeps me reading is any real info which is hard to find when sifting thru all the bullshit about peoples daughters and terribly corny jokes and back and forth chat between people who have become buttbuddies on this forum. its funny too cause some of those people have ripped other people for posting htings off topic..hypocritical? id say so

You might want to re-think that... Those people might be a big help later on once the incredible is launched with any questions or concerns you have about the phone, service provider, etc. ;) Just a thought.
 
If this thread was only about confirmed info there would be maybe 5 pages....don't see what the big deal is about talking about the phone.

Seriously guys, there are over 400 pages in this thread. Does anyone that comes in here think that there are over 400 pages of incredibly relevant info leaked on this phone? No way. It's rumor, speculation, excitement, and comraderie. If you don't like it, only check the very first post on page 1 and the evergreen thread, anything earth-shattering gets posted and updated there.

Hahaha, well played. I'm not opposed :cool:.

I mean hell, we pretty much know all there is to know about this phone except a concrete release date (although I'm getting more and more confident it will be here by April 20th).

Until announcement or release, which will make major news on every tech site (and like the factory tidbit, it'll start its own thread im sure)... there isn't much to do but speculate and chat about the phone and Steven58's Daughter ;)
 
Could anyone complaining about being off-topic create another thread and start discussing it there, because it's starting to clutter up all of the Incredible Information, and I'm sick of sifting through all of these off topic posts.

lol, im gonna be real with you guys.

A little comic/off topic posts are okay. But i think we just made like 3 pages worth of off topic chat. Don't you think thats a bit excessive??

I mean, i was playing some bad company 2 to pass the time, and each time i checked back, all i did was fly through the posts cuz i realized none of it had info on the HTC Incredible.

It's great that we have funny ppl in here and all but like the fact that we have what, like 3 pages of nothing on the Incredible is kinda over board.

Just my .02 cents, hopefully we don't get closed or anything.

Im still waiting on some good info for the HTC Incredible, or Nexus One. I have grown weary of waiting and it's killing me.

So we know they have the phones on order and that they apparently are in the warehouse. Now we just play the waiting game to see when it gets released.
