Title says it all. I've tried out 11115 and i dont seem to have much luck (.1 mb download from my house) 60686 was a little better at about .2 mb but both are still pretty slow and only 1-2 bars. still yet to see the full bars show D: So if anyone knows a good prl for my area, that would be great.

Update: just tried prl 11119 and got anywhere from .3 to .6 mb with 1 bar?!? dafu...

Sorry to disappoint, but a prl swap won't help your signal strength.
PRL stands for preferred roaming list and it's a list of roaming partners that have agreements with sprint. VM doesn't allow roaming.

:(

Well changing your PRL must have SOME benefit. I noticed right off the bat that from switching to 11119, my speeds went from 100kb to 300-600kb.

As thangfish pointed out, changing PRL's really won't do anything for you. Virgin Mobile phones do not roam. The increase in throughput could be quite a number of things not associated with PRL's at all... Lower network demand at the time possibly? Quite a while ago (LOL maybe 3 or 4 months ago) there were quite a flurry of posts about swapping PRL's to improve 3G throughput. I believe somewhere along the way it was said the swaps were sort of a placebo.

Sorry to chime in to burst your bubble, but you're better off leaving your PRL alone. :(

without touching anything right now, sitting in the same chair I had two different speed test, and download speed went up to 700kbps. It's just a "beauty" of Virgin Mobile

I changed my prl to the latest sprint prl when this forum was buzzing and everyone was talking about it. To me...im glad i did. The phone to me seems more stable...i dont know if its the sharp rom or the prl swap....i just am really happy with how the phone is currently working as opposed to the stock rom.

BTW a bit off topic. I have a question with regard to Virgin Mobile throttling data. im not seeing it. I use gps daily, pandora when im driving. When switching the prl or the rom--will this allow you to bypass virgin Mobile throttling data??

did you get "The Text" from VM?
I went over twice and got the Text notification from them, but wasn't able to tell any difference in data speed. Speed Test showed my same old, normally crappy speeds also.

Hi Thangfish....no i never received any text so i just assumed that i wasnt going over. Have you swapped prl? If so, which one are you using?

BTW does anyone know where i can find the latest prl from sprint?

Oh yeah... tried everything from the latest to the hacks, etc...
Running stock now. It's all the same, as verified by the open signal app. Well mostly the same. some gave me data only. No speed difference. It was all fun to play with though.
