Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Stock JB on that hardware rocks. So much so that my N7 to GNex is like GNex to OG Droid. And the only compelling reason I was going to try a custom ROM was for landscape mode, but since that is native in the 4.1.2 OTA, why bother.:rolleyes:
 
Welcome back Jmar. I was starting to worry about you. Coincidentally I was down for the count too from food poisoning (or the SF Giants) :p

Glad you are back in action ... and the Giants too.

I agree Pup. I mean I am rooted and all that but I like stock Jelly Bean on my N7. I am even running pretty close to stock on my GNexus as well!

I don't think anything is missing Chief. I like the way its written - very concise and easy to read.

That's it pup. I prefer the full tablet mode. Aokp build 4 has it running pretty good note

Format data, factory reset. Reboot and skip activation. Make sure all your pics and whatnot are gone. Factory reset again, turn off at activation screen and it should be ready to go.

Sorry I missed your post earlier Chief, that looks great. I'll give it a closer read tomorrow, but I didn't see any glaring deficiencies. Only concerns I would start with is TWRP compatibility with many devices (not sure if this is a legit concern) and whether booting to the bootloader / recovery is the same for all phones. My OG Droid was something like hold down the x key while pressing power or something.

I'd need some time to look into those to make sure. If you are targeting a specific brand / device it looks great. If you are doing a device / brand independent these areas may need to be filled out.

Still a great piece of work.:congrats:
