Root Kingdom utility question.

I most likely will use this to.root my device. But I have a few questions. To fully root my device do I go in order to correctly do it?

Just to be safe.
1st I do an HTC unlock
2nd flash custom recovery
3rd root stock firmware (boost)
4th flash boot IMG.

Is this correct? I'm just being safe and needs help from the experienced.

I have moved this thread into the 'all things root' portion of this forum, since it is the rooters that can most accurately answer this inquiry.

I was trying to use 2fast kingdom utility , and every time I do a command such as pull token it always says something about cannot find specific path. On everything I do. Can someone explain that for me ?

What is the purpose of a guide that has nothing in common with the design? Well it covers unlocking the phone but you will have to search for other needed things. Savage put together a good guide here http://androidforums.com/evo-design...tc-evo-design-4g-all-carriers-root-guide.html

How ever as for my tool, It was tested before I posted it by myself. Where if you are getting a issue like the above it sounds like you are extracting the files to some different layout. Install htc drivers, after installed remove htc sync. Download my tool and create a folder on the desktop under what ever name you like. Then extract the contents of the zip to the desktop.

Edit: Also for a little bit of info there is no rom that is flashable via the stock recovery. The rooted rom on here I believe is outdated. Along with it is flashed via h-boot which isn't recovery.

Thank you a lot.

Did it work for you?

I really haven't had a chance to get to it, I just got out of football practice. I have actually tried that guide the only problem I have is after downloading the SDK files needed (SDK tools, etc) there where two I believe. And I have searched high and low trying to find them because I need three other files from those (fastboot, etc). But I can't find the two I downloaded on SDK manager it says there installed but doesn't let me browse the downloaded files. I tried for three or so days and gave up and tried your tool but that always says "couldn't find specific path".

Oh and sorry about all the commotion I'm causing trying to root my phone. I've never actually had to manually do it myself, I rooted my other phones using super one click, and gingerbreak. After I get my phone rooted ill be fine I'm familiar with flashing roms, kernels, etc. I'm just having a hard time because I usually just push a button and wait. So sorry for the hard time I'm giving asking non stop questions about my problems that I'm having.
