Haha, looks like you're right. Bet you could start a new rumor that you bought the first Incredible and it would splash onto the net in a few hours. That would be cruel. But I'm just saying...looks to me as if they got that from us?
100% lifted from the evergreen thread, including the "friendstream" that i specifically added at the request of one poster. lol, even the unconfirmed section is identical to mine, including the noise cancelling mic "like the nexus one"...
If anything this just confirms that THIS THREAD IS THE AUTHORATATIVE SOURCE FOR ALL INCREDIBLE INFO!
Verizon kind of did that with the Imagio and Touch Pro 2...When the Touch Pro 2 came out, you couldn't find one in store to save your life because it was primarily sold online only, where as the in-store option was the Imagio; like we're going to see with the N1 and Incredible...The N1 will only be available online from Google, but the Incredible will be sold at brick and mortar stores as well as onlineThat's kind of what I was wondering. We have had discussions about our personal preferences of whether or not we'd choose the N1 over the Incredible, and vice-versa...but does the carrier actually have a preference? Maybe Kbusch and some others that have worked within the industry can comment, but would there be an incentive for say Verizon to have one device sell better than the other?
I believe Kbusch said that Verizon would actually lose money on the device itself while recouping that in data charges - but maybe they would be subsidizing both devices equally?

That guy is annoying. Probably gets his information from this thread.
In fact....you might be him! Promoting your own blog....terrible.
Oh, about that whole annoying thing....yeah....

What we should have done is collectively pulled an April Fools Joke on the whole tech community for getting all their Info from us.
It would have taken a coordinated effort, but we could have done it.
Made up some crazy new spec (comes with 32gb card), or "we have a concrete release date from a credible source!"
Would have loved to see every tech site run with the story while we all get a good laugh.
I think the bigger thing would be to just start spreading the iPhone to Verizon like wildfire...Just start posing "confirmed iPhone to VZW in 30 DAYS!!!" We've already got several people capable of amazing photo shopping...I hate apple products, but to get the entire tech community going about that just to see the sad panda look when they find out its false would be epic...Hell, given the nature of that bastard deal, I'm sure we'd even see some higher up Verizon execs putting out memos about the whole deal claiming it wasn't true...What we should have done is collectively pulled an April Fools Joke on the whole tech community for getting all their Info from us.

Can anyone clear up a couple things for a tech-newbie such as myself?
What is the difference between 1 Gb of RAM and 6 Gb of ROM?
Does this refer to what we on computers call "storage space"?
If it's regular memory like on a computer and not storage space will the 6 Gb of ROM (which sounds like an awful lot) help play streaming video better, i.e. make it not so choppy?
thanks in advance to whomever can answer this so a fifth grader can understand!
My wife and I watch Modern Family. Funny show! I'm sure you're right about the amount of enthusiasm as well. It's always funnier when you know it's based on a bit of truth!
Torture eh..... any chance we can sign some of these top Verizon execs up for some of this physical therapy? It will stop when they supply a release date.![]()

Can someone invite me to the "Incredible" wave?
shundal84@gmail.com
I know there is a thread for it, but I've posted a couple times and no one has invited yet.
Pretty much. Imagine one of those optical mouse for the PC, but you're rubbing your thumb over the optics rather than having the optics move over a flat surface. Can anyone tell me more about the Optical Track Pad... I've never seen nor played with one. It sounds better than the trackball (which I read a lot of people don't like) but I'm not sure how it works.... does one simply rub a thumb or finger over it?
(Don't get nasty, serious question)
Thanks for the info and for coming out of the closet. Personally, I'm trying to figure out why the heck I'd need an HDMI port on my telephone, for Pete's sake. I wait and wait and wait for the next new model, just like other geeks, but when the Incredible comes, I'm getting on that train!
