Alright, I said would never run ics, but...

I have two bionics, both blocked from the ota update. I went ahead and did a clean install of .232 and you know, I really like it despite webtop 3.0! People were right! this phone flies now!

So far adobe flash appears to be working. All my apps work except Resco radio, no biggie.

When it's coming to webtop? I figure the firefox browser will be quickly outdated anyways...
So yeah, I love ics. But as of now I will not take the official update as long as .232 behaves itself. :D Atleast with .232 I can go back to gb.

The real deal breaker would've been no flash! That's why I won't do the official update. I've heard on the razr forums all kinds of nightmares about flash not functioning properly or at all, and those poor people have no way to flash back to gb. Plus, I've been burned in the past doing major updates.

So far everything system wide appears to work. Camera/camcorder, navigation, gps, bluetooth headphones and wired head phones and so on. Should anything go wrong I will share it in this thread for all posterity.

Welp, that's my report. :)

I dont have your device. But flash is generally supported officially for ICS and even can be side loaded on jellybean and run fine.

I run it on both my evo running 4.04 and nexus running 4.1.2

From what I have been reading on the web, Motown are the only phones having issues...

Update: Webtop is not working. I don't get the desktop, just the phone screen itself. It says I'm in webtop mode.

I've seen webtop 3.0 work before properly when I had it on one of my phones for a day. The only things I did different was fxz to.905 directly instead of going with 902 then getting 905 over the air. And I also rooted ice with razrs edge.

I'm trying it on my other bionic now...

Keep in mind, webtop 3.0 is very different from the prior version, and it does look like the phone screen. It's basically just a tablet mode that lets you run apps in higher resolution if they have been optimized for tablets. I personally prefer it to the older version, with its outdated Firefox and memory issues.

<edit> Oh and Flash works fine for me on 246. It just doesn't work with Chrome (by design). So when I need Flash I use the default browser instead.

I know what you mean. :) I had flashed one of my bionics to .232 before for about a day and used webtop. I know what it's supposed to look like. :) There was no tablet mode and tue chrome browser was no where to be found...

I'm flashing my other bionic now, it's just about finiahed.

Have you noticed a real difference between .232 and .246?

Mainly it just seems faster and more stable. There's really no reason to stay on 232 that I can see. And now that 246 is the OTA, we'll need to be on it for JB when it leaks or is released. ;) Hopefully we'll have a 246 FXZ file before long as well.

Alright, I don't know what the hell is going on here! I went back to 902, updated to 905, applied the leak, did a factory reset and the webtop is not functioning. The gb bionic is working fine in my docking station, but not the ics bionic. There is no desktop! No google chrome. I did not add any apps or even root the phone. I did this once before and it worked out. Why isn't it working now? same computer, same drivers and tried two different files to flash. HELP!

Nevermind (Blushes)... I could have swore the desktop looked different! Even on the youtube video for 232 there's a google chrome icon amongst other things.

Something isn't right here... Things are missing. just google webtop 3.0 and you will find a video demo. for 232. It nothing like I'm seeing... Guess it's back to gb... #$&% This!

I'm not sure why so many are hung up about Flash. I mean I understand people not wanting Flash to go away because of it's usefulness, but rather I don't understand this hatred link between ICS/JB and Flash. You do realize this isn't a Google decision not to support Flash right? This is an Adobe decision to pull ALL support of Flash from ALL mobile platforms.

No matter what version of Android you are running you will see Flash support ending before long. Web sites will soon make it so they HTML 5 or something else that can be supported.

If you want Chrome then just install Chrome... In Webtop 3.0 there is no difference in what's installed on your phone vs. Webtop. Like I said it's just a tablet version. But it's 1000x better than the Gb version.

Yeah, a half an hour after my little rant I got it figured out. thanks for taking the time. :)

Alright, I'm embarrassed about my little rant...

There was never nothing wrong with webtop. I found it just acts a little different when there is no market apps loaded. So yeah, webtop is fine.

I could have sworn the first time I tried a month ago with 232 there was a google chrome icon, a clock widget and so on. it's learning curve me.

Sorry for the whinage...

No problem. Hope you enjoy Webtop 3.0 -- I sure do! ;-)

I know, I've already read up on all of that.

I run Ubuntu Linux on my home computer and when I went to update flash, I got a warning that adobe wouldn't be supporting it for Linux anymore... Or not making another update, something to that effect.
