This would also firm up the release name too, would it not? I know there has been speculation of a name change for release.

Ding, ding, ding. It's all about device convergence. Any phone with an 8MP video sensor, huge storage capacity, and 720p recording is a more-than-capable replacement for a personal video recorder. And any personal video recorder should have a HDMI output jack to facilitate generated content sharing and consumption.

Thus any phone that is capable of serving as a replacement for a personal video recorder should have a HDMI output jack.

Don't bother. You can't transfer A/V via USB on your phone into your TV. The reason it works with external USB tuners is that they are transferring it as a data stream that a driver on your computer interprets and outputs as a file to be saved on your computer. Your TV doesn't have a driver or the software to do that.

kcoan3, I have always been a proponent that the name will change but after seeing this, do you think it is likely they will actually keep the name?

Saw this on the verizon offers twitter. No date, but I like it being mentioned by name...still just a tease though:

So I finally got the moto droid, hated it, returned it in 2 weeks. The android os was awesome, surfing was awesome, but it sux as a phone. No one could hear me and if they could I either sounded muffled or like I was in a deep deep barrel of something.

A little OT I know, but lotsa ppl have reported this- there's actually an easy programming fix, PM if interested for yourself, friends, family, etc who might have this prob

What's Cellebrite? Where does the list of phone models come from and what does it mean?

Appreciate what you are doing but, a dumb question...why is the HTC Mogul on there if it's a Sprint phone? Am I just missing something?

i was running errands today and swung by a verizon store. the guy working there came up to me and i explained that i am an att customer and was thinking about switching. i tell him im interested in an android phone and it seemed as if he became more interested in helping me me immediately. he told me about the eris and the droid. i asked him if they had any newer andoid phones, so he showed me the devour. i told him i was more interested in any newer phones that may be coming out. i told him i had read about the sprint evo and wanted something like that. he told me he didn't have any info on any new phones coming out. he then tells me that even if he did he wouldn't be allowed to say anything about them, and then he gives me an exaggerated wink and a big smile. he then asks if i wanted to be called when a new phone does come out, and i said sure. he takes my info and then tells me he will be calling me in a couple of weeks with another big smile. he was definitely implying to me something is coming in the next few weeks, but he couldn't taalk about sort of thing. just thought i would share my experience with yall. take from it what you will. keep up the good work.

Well, since they aren't calling Devour the Calgary, I'd say the Cellebrite listing still gives no credence to keeping the name Incredible.
