made a backup and now it wont reboot. Tried everything but cant get into recovery. I think I might have bricked my phone. I can get into download mode but that's about it

I always have a problem manually getting into recovery on this phone too. Just gotta keep at it it will eventually. Try home, vol up, then power. The try vol up, home then power. Then just jiggle all of them. Like i say eventually it works. Good luck.

your softbricked not bricked take out battery leave it out for a few sec then put it back in and hold down volume up +pwr button+ and home button u should be in recovery. if anything return to stock by flashing stock tar from teide's thread. dont worry your not bricked i assure you!

yea quickboot is a great way to boot into recovery or into download mode or simply reboot. i also use root booter ive had it since i had my esteem. but both apps work great!

I just use adb shell commands. Simple, fast, efficient, clean and no app needed. :)
Just plug my phone to the pc, fire up a terminal in Ubuntu or Gnome Shell,
adb reboot recovery
Easy as pie.

Or I could just summon a launcher (gnome do, kupfer, shell launcher extension) and type the same command.
Talk about convenience!

not every1 will be next to a computer when needing to boot into recovery tiede lol and the apps are faster just 1 push push and your in recovery but if u must feel like u work for the 007 agency and wanna feel extra crispy then go for it lol

When I soft bricked my phone and I could only get into download mode my attempts to use Odin to reinstall recovery failed then finally around the fifth attempt it worked and I was able to get into manual recovery and use one of my backups. But I was stressing for a while.
