I'm with VZ and that happened to me once or twice. There is this old building that has a tin roof that prevents signals from going through it. That's about all it's ever happened to me.

I can take occasionally - but not regularly. This happen to me early this week when I was waiting for a phone interview:eek: Thankfully she was understanding and I don't think it hurt my chances for the job as I have a second interview this Tuesday. I just explained that I have an Iphone and ATT and she was understanding.

Woudn't the eris be closer to the Incredible? I tried out the eris for 30 days and returned not only because of the Incredible rumors, but because i really didn't like it. Texting was BRUTAL....

I text on a touch phone now. I guess I really don't text much. I'm looking forward to voice entry, though. :)

So here is my .02 cents...

So it says "Additional Android Handset launches". It doesn't say its specific to the Incredible. Also I remember that a few pages back someone said that Sprint is releasing the Nexus One at the end of the month.

Wouldn't it make sense that Google would release the Nexus One for Verizon the same time? So I am thinking that we might see the Incredible in the mid April time frame.

Again my theory is why would Verizon pimp out the Nexus One the same time as the Incredible? They would loose out on unloading their inventory and having to hold on to more stock then needed which is a lose in overhead and possible profit for them. Remember Verizon Wireless is not a publicly traded company and anything they make they keep.

I'm just sayin....

Verizon doesn't have inventory. The N1 is sold only online as google has been trying to change how we buy phones. Also, since many people won't want to order it online, they will still need something newer in stores for people to buy.

I also think since google's phone site says nothing about sprint but says "coming soon" for verizon that it will come to verizon well before sprint. Is it even officially coming to sprint? Might be that they have to pay full price like AT&T to have one.

Don't do it brother...Hang in there. Sweet things are on the way. Lay off the coffee and all will be Incredible shortly. Wouldn't it suck if you got the Droid today, and we don't see the Incredible till May 4th?

Don't do it.
you're right. You're RIGHT! OKAY... I'm stepping a WAAAAAAAY from the DROID! ;)

The site never had any mention of ATT but it went on sale for ATT before VZW. So I think it could potentially hit sprint first - who knows.

I was referring to the Incredible inventory that Verizon would have. We all know that Google is selling the N1 via web. Why would Verizon have two phones pretty similar sell around the same time, one being in stores and one being online only. That is giving the consumer a choice and depending on the buyer, which is easier? Yeah all of us on this thread want the Incredible, but how many threads out there are waiting just as much as us for the N1 to come out for Verizon? Remember its all about getting the bigger piece of the pie. I'm just saying that Verizon would get more out of selling the Incredible a week or two before the N1 rather then selling both phones at the same time. They would loose out on more of a profit.

Steven's got the shakes: I I've w w waited th th this long for the IN c c c c redible, I might as well w w w ait a little l l longer. (thinking about going to the vz store and getting the droid)

Why would anyone at this point get the Droid? The phone is coming people, the more you talk about it isn't going to make it come faster, just be patient.

I am beginning to think that the corporate execs at Verizon aren't all that smart. Launching a new phone should be surrounded by at least a month or two worth of serious hype. With all the speculation of the Incredible launching later this month, VZ is certainly not creating any expectations for the millions of regular consumers not into the tech forums.

I am no marketing guru, but VZ is really not the greatest in this aspect. I bet everyone that has ever remotely even heard about the ipad knows it is out today and is already waiting in line like a Star Wars junkie.

FWIW, I was at a VZW store yesterday. There was no way I was going to get entered into a line of a dozen people waiting for maybe 2 salesdudes, only to find out they wouldn't tell me anything. So I went over to the Droid to check in on this thread. First time I ever usd a Droid. Crisp screen, but really tiny browser text that these 'ole eyes had trouble with. Zooming helped a bit, but I found the browser difficult to navigate, easy to go to the wrong link, and maddening to go back. Could just be me, but it sure cured me of maybe-I'll-get-a-droid-for-now-itis.

Yeah, maybe. But I use reading glasses when I'm browsing the web on my HTC Touch anyway, so it really doesn't matter much to me, at least. Good point, though.

That doesn't make any sense because verizon makes money on the plans not the phones. The phones themselves cost 600 - 900 bucks to buy. you buy the phones with the plan for 200 bucks.

It doesn't make any difference what phone you have you still pay for the plan of 90 bucks a month. whatever it is.

Call me ignorant, but I just can't imagine them relesing the Incredible 30 days before the Shadow. Everyone would return their Incredibles, right? In fact, that's probably the marketing strategy here for VZ. They want to get all the DROIDs sold and hook people in so they can't return them!

If verizon hyped the incredible a month prior to launch, how many droids/eris would they sell? It is actually a very intelligent strategy...they need to work on clearing out a lot of what they have before announcing their successors...

Agreed. If they keep sitting on this phone it will eventually be just another good but "also-ran" phone. First they got out-gunned by the EVO, soon new Iphone buzz is bound to begin, then buzz for something else. After that 4G will start making people think.

A top-of-the-line phone is only so for a very short window these days.

I am pretty sure the Incredible is going to have the same exact browser, as it is running Android. I have the Droid right now (rooted & running cyanogenmod), I'll be getting the N1 or Incredible when they come out. From what I have read, the screen on the N1 isn't as crisp as the Droid. If the Incredible has the same screen as the N1, you could have the same problem, if not worse.

Does anyone know how Verizon decides if it releases its phone for online sales. Could it be possible the the Incredible releases earlier for sale on the internet and then it is released to the stores on the 28th?

usually same day. that was how the droid and droid eris released.

Ok, I have printed off the pics by lajboys and I am going into my Verizon store this evening to gets some info. I will bait them first with the Samsung Reality snapshot 1st. I would think this phone is not top secret since it is a step down from Samsung Rogue. Then, when they confirm that it is coming that date, I will pull at the other pic for Additional Android Handset on the 28th and see what they say.

I think the key is to bait them and if we get enough people on here to head to the corporate stores. Heck they might be even pull the Samsung Reality out to let you play with it. Just play along then because the bait is taken.

Keep in mind if they don't know anything about the Samsung Reality I will not even show the Additional Android handset pic.

I work till 7PM tonight and will head there for some Incredible News!

Don't get me in trouble. My wife needs the job she has..lol

They released the Devour to Auth Retailers first, but I never got a response when I asked why.

I don't remember a phone going specifically to web sales only first...typically they was to open as many avenues as possible for initial product to get into as many users hands' as possible.

I was thinking the same thing a couple of pages ago. I think they've done that in the past. I don't know if they still do, though.

Any thoughts on what the Mother's Day promotion might be that mentioned in the calendar for the 14th? Might that be for the Incredible?

*Inside Info*

As I stated in my first post, my wife cleans our local verizon store. Tonight I went with her again and posted up on their calendar board was a calendar for April with important dates. I have attached three pictures. In one you will see the weekly list of things to come. In the other you will you see the samsung phone coming out on the 21st. But the interesting picture is the one that says "new android handset" to be released on the 28th. I hope the incredible comes before that so lets hope this is the nexus one or someting else. I don't know if I can wait that long.

That goes along with the delivery date I saw in their computer of a few days before. They normally get phones a few days before launch. It's still all speculation as to it being the Incredible but at least it is coming from a visual of a computer and a calendar and not just guesses thrown into the air.
