***lg lucid ics root***

what am i missing??? i tried to root using OP way, it goes through the script, says i'm rooted, but i am not.
any suggestions? i am on a LG Lucid that just got upgraded to ICS.

If you see super su app, you are rooted, if not, make sure you have drivers installed.

I mean I am on ICS right now. Stock. If I root it, and then need help later on, is my only choice to just erase everything like that?

The only thing that erase is a factory reset, not an unbrick IF you are on stock/stock rooted.if you're on a custom rom it might erase everything.

its not working for me. i have the usb drivers installed. when i run it it says to connect the phone in usb debug mode which i am doing but nothing happens after that.....?

Run the commandline then type adb devices, provided you set upp android sdk correctly. Shpuld display your device after hitting enter. Make sure usb debug is ticked andyourrunning internet connection as ethernet.

Make sure you are changing the USB connection to ethernet.

Sometimes when you have the phone connected in usb debugging mode and have it set to Ethernet you have to turn the phone off and back on (or just restart it) in order for it to be "seen" by the system. Not sure if it's for all Lucids out there, but that is the only way I can get mine "seen" by the computer......

yayyyy i got it to work finally. i had to do a factory reset through emergency download mode in order to get everything to run right. something must of went wrong when i originally updated to ics.

No, I'm saying if I root, and decide I want to go back to how I was, without root, can I do this without wiping my phone?

Like is there an unroot app?

It is also to unroot and I don't think it will wipe anything, as long as you are on a stock system, it shouldn't. Did it wipe anything when you upgraded to ICS?

I was stock and just went OTA so nope, but shouldn't have either. Can anyone confirm that the kdz method will not erase anything, just will unroot me?

So, Since we have a clear and working root for ICS on the Lucid, can I get just a solid answer to one specific question?

Can we install ClockworkMod and have it work??
