So I got my ballistic sg maxx case today and let me tell you. I think the defender(and the other tpu cases in my arsenal) will be sitting on the sidelines for a while.
The ballistic is thinner and lighter. The buttons have way more feel to them. I can actually feel the presses on the shutter button. On the otterbox the rubber is very hard. The ballistic is awesome it fits the phone perfect. I didn't use the replaceable screen protector because i have a zagg installed ( I take the built in one out of the defender too) and it still fits like a glove.
I got mine for 22 bucks shipped on ebay. I would definitely suggest it to you guys. Considering it's upwards $50 bucks on their website/in store. I have the white/black. The clip is nice too. Also thinner profile than that of the otter. The ONLY thing I dislike is the ballistic has its own kickstand which isn't spring loaded and feels like it could be easily broken. I really like how the otterbox let's you use the original. I guess it's both a good and bad thing. On one hand its preserving the original kickstand,which is showing wear on the tip because I use it so often... But anyway, that's my only gripe.
I'm going to run this case for a couple weeks I'll keep you all posted!

Love mine...after the firmware upgrade that is. Way to much lag at first but great now. Replacing my old router really helped when it comes to streaming youtube and other videos as well.
