How soon will accessories likely be available?

Here is a new one...Not sure if I am brave enough to go out on a limb and give these a try.
These are new on the scene, 3M just brought this product to market here in the last month or so. Fingerprint Fading screen protectors?

3M US: Fingerprint Fading Protectors: 3M Specialty Display Products

How can fingerprints just fade? Sounds too good to be true almost. And with nothing to back up their claim I am very wary. Although it is 3M. They have a name associated with innovation and quality. Either way my curiosity is piqued.

(This likely won't be made for our devices so it is probably a moot point to most of you. I'm just interested in the newest/different choices available to the market)

Oleophobic means Oil-Resistant.
...
The 3M fingerprint fading protectors I mentioned above are probably Oleophobic, but they have got to have something else going on in order to make fingerprints "magically disappear"

I'm not sure if anyone else found these 3M Fingerprint Fading protectors interesting before when I mentioned them; this is about the only article I have found so far that attempts to explain of these new screen protectors and the technology behind them. Speculatively, sounds a bit like they were possibly working on something like an oleophobic type screen protector in the labs and they discovered a happy accident, which they patented quickly.

Didn't Motorola file a patent for a screen that's supposed to be anti-fingerprint?

My brand new Boost Moblile Evo 4G was dropped a few times, and as a result that back piece that connects the antenna no longer attached to the phone snugly. It wouldn't completely snap back into place and eventually got lost. I called HTC's warrantee department for a replacement piece which cost me 20 bucks. 3-5 business day delivery. On day 6 I called to see where it was, and was told the order didn't process correctly in their system. They had to close that ticket and open another one. An extra 3-5 days...On week 3 I called and even after speaking to a supervisor, no replacement piece anytime soon. Week 4 was told 100 people was ordering the same piece and they were back ordered 57. And that there was not a shipment date! Maybe I'll get it on New Years day...

It's over a month now that I'm paying for a phone that doesn't have a service signal!

I didnt get a chance to get insurance for this phone. So I can't get a free phone replacement. Is there a website where I can order the back door battery cover and get faster results, or is there a way I can get it to get a signal without that back cover? I am at my wits end!

Please assist with advice/information, thanks!

I posted you the same link as dustin but they are sold out.

I also posted you an ebay link with one available, kinda high price though.

guess my posts got deleted in the move??

Thanks for the speedy feedback everyone!!! I've been searching for some answers for weeks!
and this is the first time I've ever posted on one of these forums so I was puzzled when I saw my post moved..LOL

Ok so I did search the first responder's link to the accessory website, and yep they are sold out.

Also, I wanted to note that I got the cell names mixed up. I have the HTC Evo 4G, not their LTE design. My phone's back cover looks like the first picture with 2 metal prongs.
Second pic is what the accessory website offered. Do you guys think that will be compatible to my phone? I just want to make sure that once the part becomes available Im buying the one that works.

I picked up the Qmadix Metalix snap on case.. its a shame to have to cover up such a gorgeous phone but I dont feel so bad because this case is awesome. Fits so snug and allows the EVO to keep its slim profile. The rubber is high quality, smooth and cool to the touch and really feels nice. And of course that aluminum piece on the back has turned a few heads when Im out :) I cant compare this case with other brands but Im really happy I bought it. I havent dropped the phone yet thank God but Ill report back when I do to tell everyone how the case held up.

I think I'm just gonna invest in a new phone because it seems there aren't adequate parts out there for the Evo 4G (even HTC's supply doesn't meet the demand for the antenna battery cover/door) compared to the Evo 4G LTE design. Plus I really like the white version anyways. Hope Boost Mobile offers the LTE design :) On the other hand, I wonder if I should think twice about buying an HTC phone again. Waiting for this replacement part is horrible. I'm paying for a phone I can't even use. But I thank everyone for their input and assistance :-D

They seem legit, but I find nothing on Store Ratings & Reviews - ResellerRatings.com - Find Trusted Stores about them. Nothing negative (good) but also nothing positive (strange) in a google search.

A casual search on ebay found this-

evo 4g lte parts screen | eBay

I did deal with these guys a while back when my kids broke my Moments screen. There was a problem with a bad batch of screens, but they were responsive and easy to deal with. Not a very large sampling, but I would deal with them again (though I hope I don't need to). Good luck!

I was just wondering if the ltevo had any cool toys such as wireless charging. My good charger chord which was pretty long just broke. It was one of the sprint travel chargers, the one with a battery for charging on the go.

Nope nothing yet. Maybe Powermat or one of the others will come out with a charging case via USB.

Do we have any cool accessories yet? Like maybe a stand for playing games or a projector? I know you can make one with an app and a shoe box

can you guys who can recommend me the place to buy this cheapest best quality EVO 4G lte bottom cover?

That link you provided or eBay are the best sources to date.
There aren't any on eBay right now standing alone, however there are deals for the digitizer and all exterior panels. You could get one of those deals just for your lower panel and then resell the digitizer and all the extra parts separately.

On a different note
As we draw closer to the Holiday season I wanted to put out the feeler for any special deals on the MediaLink HD, StereoClip, or Car Kit.
Their prices are all a bit high, especially the MediaLink. I'm interested in them but only at a lower price.
I think we should post any sales we find in this thread for everyone :)
