Root Lockscreen Ignoring locking timeframe!?!?

Ok, sorry if this is lost on the forum somewhere, but there is this strange bug in which you have to unlock the phone every time once you wake it up. I set it to lock 5 minutes after sleep, but it doesn't care and just locks every time I put it to sleep. :banghead: It's the same for the AOSP lockscreen and the sense lockscreen. Also, I'm running Mobsterz/unSENSEable by nsciucco. I think I had this problem with the old version of mobster's rom too. Help!:confused::confused:

I'm not 100% sure I understand this correctly but it sounds like possibly a difference between locking and screen timeout. You set the phone to not lock for 5 minutes after screen timeout. But I don't think this matters if you manually shut your screen off with the power button because this also locks your phone. So it seems like you may be locking your phone which requires it to be unlocked rather than letting the screen timeout.

I haven't played with these settings in a long time and I'm not on a sense rom right now so I can't really check. This was just the first thought that came to mind.

Ok thanks. Even after the screen sleeps before the 5 minutes are over it still locks. This didn't happen before even when I manually locked the phone with the power button before the time frame was up it didn't lock. Weird :s:

Are you using an app, like screen off and lock? that turns off your screen, but will also lock it immediately.

There's also an option under security to make the power button immediately lock the phone (every time you turn off the screen with the power button), you can try toggling that.

What exactly do you mean by lock? just the ring lockscreen? or the face, pattern, password, pin security lockscreen? As far as I know, you always have the simple ring lockscreen, you can't just set it to completely bypass the lockscreen (ie, turn on the phone, and see your homescreen).

If you want to directly bypass all lockscreens, try the "no lock" app. enable it, and when you turn the screen on, there will be no "slide to unlock". I use this at home a lot. The downside is, whenever you click on a notification, it locks the phone up if you have a security lock enabled in your settings, and you have to type in your password (or turn the screen off/on). That's just what we get for having notifications accessible on the lockscreen in ics.
