So much misinformation in this thread it's unbelievable. I do work for Verizon and let me clear a few things up... iBowToAndroid, if you work for Verizon, quit.

In the first 30 days, if it wasn't purchased from a corporate store, it needs to go back to the place of purchase. After the 30 days, Verizon will be the ones to honor the warranty. The ONLY exception is if you get a phone from Asurion. If they replace it when you make a lost/stolen/damaged claim, they then honor the warranty. I hope that's cleared up.
Secondly, I don't know if you all are aware but the FRU policy is no longer in effect once you are out of your 1 year manufacture warranty. If you didn't choose insurance, extended warranty, or TEC (combination of both), you will have the option to upgrade or get a CPO (certified pre-owned). It's a price that is more than 1 year pricing but less than full retail. EnV Touch's go for about $179. With that, you get a phone that has been completely checked out and confirmed working, battery, back cover, charger and a 1 year warranty on that. You also have the option to purchase insurance on that CPO as well. This just changed on April 1st.
Depends who you talk to. Some people will openly talk about it, more so the Tech's. But we are supposed to tell you "I cannot confirm nor deny..." but honestly, you guys will know about things before we do in the store. Now, that doesn't mean that some of us don't read the forums and know what you guys know so we can talk about it to customers

We aren't really given info about new phones until a few days before launch unless you go looking for it in systems and things.
