Still No Update?

Relax, do you really want to be the first lucky person err I mean guinea pig to try it? Been dealing with this since I activated my phone on June 4th. I think waiting a little while longer is probably prudent. I mean really, all amounts to is a small update to correct an intermittent issue, not like it's an upgrade to 4.2 or anything really exciting.

I run custom rom so can't take the update . I just hope it come out soon so devs can get a hold of it .

Its highly likely that this update will take around a week to reach one of us (Just as the intercept took a while to officially come out since virgin had plenty of network issues). Just be patient.

just wondering but how would one go about capturing the update when it gets pushed to my phone? Id rather not install it, but capture the files they send.

Let it download without installing it and then pull it off with adb, but trust me a dev will have it done and in a flashable zip the same day that it gets pushed. Been dealing with it since launch day so a couple of days longer is definitely not going to stress me out. Especially considering that I've had 3 months service credited to my account to compensate me for my aggravation. :D

Thanks for the reply! Never been lucky enough, or unlucky enough? lol to have a phone that was updated before. Not a bad deal getting 3 months of credit! Not like i would be able to get the update anyway, had the phone for a whole 4 hours, read about the message error, then got the error, and rage rooted/s-off/turned it into a sprint 3d lol.

Ok, I do have a direct number to Sprints executive tech support team and just got off the phone with them and they said that as of 12 o'clock it's starting to roll out, here's keeping my fingers crossed, and toes, eyes, signals and whatever else that I can think of.

Human knot? :p well I expect them to give an update or I will be disappointed :(

Oh me too, within 15 minutes of activation I was rooted and s-offed the next day. Virgin went out of their way to compensate me because I went through 6 Triumphs within a 2 month period concerning the camera issue. After the final replacement I was told by senior tech support that there was no solution to the problem because it was a manufacturing defect. Well after being told that I filed a complaint with the BBB and after scheduling arbitration they made amends including having the direct number for Sprints tier 1 executive tech support team based in the USA, at most a 30 second wait time for any future issues. Amazing what politeness and the threat of litigation can accomplish. :p

According to 3 different reps in the past week it's definitely released today in a rolling fashion that's expected to take a couple of days. Not just human, I have the dog contorted also. ;)

What is the for exactly? Im on custom rom and as i see i cant get it.

It's supposed to fix the radio interface shortage error message once and for all.
And as soon as it's released I'm sure a dev will have a look at it and make us a flashable zip for everyone who's not stock.

So yet again I've been contacted by Sprint and was told that the update started rolling out last night and it's being done in waves, It's completely random as to who will receive it first and also Virgin has nothing to do with it, it's being handled completely by HTC so I guess all that we can do at this time is to be patiently virtuous seeing as how patience is a virtue. The young lady that I spoke to in tech support was very nice and professional as well as apologetic concerning our long standing suffering from this issue. Wish that I had more specific details but it's in HTC 's hands now.

I got this today:

Thanks for your reply Steve. Due to the nature of the update process there is not a concrete list of changes, fixes, and enhancements that will be included in an update until the release of the update itself. Until the update is out we will very likely have no further details that we could provide. I understand your eagerness to know more, and I apologize that I don't have the information that you're looking for. Please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns, and don't forget that your voice is the most important part of HTC. If I have answered all of your questions today, I would love to invite you to fill out our feedback survey. You can access the survey by clicking the link below to close your ticket.
