Root So I want to change roms...

I am running Mikg3.1 now and have amonra. I'm not unhappy with my setup but I would be interested in checking out some other stuff.
Will I be losing all my apps and starting from scratch again if I flash a new rom or do all my apps and settings stay intact?

If you flash a new rom, then yes, you will lose all your apps and settings...however....you can use Titanium Backup to save apps and data, along with text messages, call logs etc.
I would recommend the pro version...about 8 bucks in the play store but worth it.
After you backup your stuff with TB, flash your rom, then redownload TB and the prokey from the playstore and start restoring your apps.
All the saved data/apps will be on your sd card.

unfortunately no none of the settings and data will get saved as part of the flashing process is to wipe data and thus you will loose everything. do what mikey suggests and you can at least save your apps data. you will need to reset the rom how you like it each time you flash though for me this is like second nature. i am a flashaholic so its no big deal for me to flash roms and then tweak it to your liking.
