Am I the only one thinking of what apps they're going to download?

Yes I get ahead of myself sometimes :p This would be my first Android phone so the marketplace would be entirely new experience for me.

So far this is what I've thought up..

Twitter client (don't know which one)
Replica Island (fun looking game)
AP News
Sports client (don't know which one)
CoursePro (paid student app)
ShopShavvy
Last.fm
Google Listen
Google Maps
Multiple IM client (don't know which one and I don't use Google Talk...yet)
Weather app (for more in-depth forecasts and alerts)

I'm sure there will be a ton more I'll discover through the marketplace. So what about you guys?

I like Sports tap for sports, Pandora for my music, and I also like the barcode scanner. I use my local news for my news I just set a bookmark. Don"t need to know what else is going on, all the news is always bad news.

Agree about the news but considering my majors it would probably be wise of me to keep up on things no matter how much I may not want to hear it :p

There's of course Google Goggles and Google Nav. I'm really looking forward to the soon to be coming Slingbox app. And Netflix streaming is said to be coming too. All with 4g goodness sprinkled on it. :D

Google Listen
Google Goggles
Google Maps/Nav
Swype
Documents to go
Pandora
Handcent
Some App with Advance Alarm Clock Management... Not sure yet.

Nope you aren't the only one.

I already made a favorites folder with a link to each of the ones I saw on the featured part of the Android Market. I can't see all the apps because they don't post them online, but I have like 15 that I'll be getting.

I have made a list already as well. Most of the apps on my Pre are on Android, so I will download those. Sense takes care of a lot of stuff for me (Love that weather app, though the HD2 one is much better).

this is my first android too. i think someone should make an official "Best applications thread" when the evo is released.

Does anyone know of a customizable database software program (e.g., MS Access) that can be used on the Android OS.

I want to set up a relational database such that I can enter information about my dining experiences and then cross reference that information the next time I

1. AndFTP
2. DroidLive
3. MMSLite
4. Android Radio
5. StreamFurious
6. Zagat
7. DroidCumulus
8. RadioTime
9. Astro
10. MyBackupPro
11. Power Search

(going to choose one radio stream app from above that works the best)

Do you guys have any idea if they'll come out with a netflix app for android? I would love that on that Evo screen.

I also wouldn't mind the sling player app for Evo.

netflix would be stupid not to.

im really looking forward to online gaming and the possibilities with 4G speeds. MMORPGs, first person shooters and the like. I have the apk for Quake but I can't install it because it requires at least 1.6 and I have a Hero.

A Netflix app certainly seems plausible, considering there was one released for the Ipad recently.

A Hulu app would be fantastic as well.

Hulu has been a life saver for me this year and it would be a great addition for Android. I'm an avid 24 fan but every Monday I have lab from 8-10:50 pm and 24 starts at 9 :( Thank God for Hulu.

Glad to see I'm not the only one making a list! :D
