***Official HTC Incredible Thread***

I don't want to bum anyone out by telling this but....

My source who works in corporate asked about when the release date for the Incredible will be and was told..... There's no release date set yet, but they could see it coming out this month.

It's obviously coming out extremely soon, but there's no chance we'll find out a release date. I can see them telling people about the Incredible and having them train on it then a week after tell them that it's going to be announced the next day and released the day after. My source told me that it has happened before like that so there's a chance it could happen again.
 
Just in principle I want to switch to Sprint for the Evo or ATT for the iPhone. This is total bush league garbage by the Verizon brass. Screw the network and your stupid commercials and stupid can you hear me now dickface...I just want a cool looking phone that does cool stuff, like, you know, I could buy on any other network except yours!

Its already been established this thread is basically a community chat. The mods dont like it but have decided to allow it until the phone is released. All you can do is skip to the posts with a lot of "thanks" and hope its not just one of the more popular members saying "good morning."

Got my Droid today, and i'm in love with it. If the Incredible comes out before my 30 days in up, great. If not and I have to keep my Droid, great. You really can't go wrong with android phones. I'm happy I finally made the switch to VZW. Keep up the updates guys!

Its a general observation - not personal, and sorry if it sounded like a dig @ u.
Just for grins, I went back and .........

NKT's good info came in around 3:28PM, and we were discussing what it meant around that time. See http://androidforums.com/htc-incredible/42916-official-htc-incredible-thread-507.html#post526388

That's all on p507, which is now buried four pages back. Chances of anyone seeing that unless they are following this thread on an hour-by-hour basis are slim, unless they are prepared to sift through 15 pages a day. That's a lot of rock to crush, even if there are a few diamonds in there.
That's all I'm saying, and hope nobody else finds this too confrontational.

The guy that threatened to beat up #10 for talking down to #9 - actually liked Gandolfini in that roll... that is an INCREDIBLE movie... watched both the '57 and '97 versions too many times to count! :D

It's all good...no hard feelings. I just don't use Twitter and my first foray into it was embarrassing!
 
My boyfriend is on this thread and has been posting for awhile.. He found out some information today, but doesn't want to post it under his "login" for fear that it will get back to him somehow.

His company met with a corporate verizon rep last week to discuss new services and roadmaps for the future concerning their relationship and business They do this at least once a year. He asked the rep if he/she had heard about the incredible and even used the adr6300 sku number that had been discovered on here.. He was hounding the rep for a release date, since he pretty much knows everything else already.

The rep said that he/she hadn't heard of the Incredible, but that he/she would check with someone (at corporate) who for sure could get her some information about it. The rep said he/she would get with us as soon as they found something else out.

Well fast forward to a few hours ago, where the rep got back in touch with him. They said that the "tentative" release date will be on "April 29th", and that that information was extremely confidential..

So take that for what it's worth...

Sounds like it will be any day now with the new Training info coming out in the last few hours..

My 4 years in the wireless industry as a rep makes me VERY CERTAIN reps WILL NOT receive any type of structured hands-on training for the Incredible.

Things just are not done that way.

Should any training be offered, it will UNDOUBTEDLY BE an online training (known as a VZW "OLT").

The most "hands-on" training I ever had was playing with a handset in the break room for a few minutes - a day or so before launch. :)

Don't feel bad. I've had an account for a while and have only "tweeted" a few times. I'm not sure any of them have gone to the right person. They just disappear into Twitterland. Too many @'s #'s and names. To me the context is all ****ered up - doesn't seem to be any contextual order?? I mostly just read the people I'm following.......

From a friend...

So I just got done meeting with some people from Verizon. The district guy said he was willing to openly speak about the Incredible, and said it will be out before the Nexus One. Gave it a 60-day time frame, saying he was giving a late time frame so as to not piss anyone off if the device didn't show up when he said. Said they've had testing devices for about two weeks, and that it did fail in testing. They now need to test the revision build to make sure everything is OK. He said he has used the device and it's extremely smooth and fast. His boss uses one as his primary device and the battery has been lasting all day. He said the previous build that failed testing seemed very stable and usable, so he doubted more revisions would be needed. He said late April is very feasible.

He did confirm that the device is in Cellebrite, but doubted that the warehouse actually had the number of devices rumored since they're still testing. He did say it has 8GB internal memory, and supports of to 32GB via microSD for a total of 40GB storage. The processor is the 1GHz Snapdragon.

On a related note, he said that Android 2.1 for the Eris is in testing and should be out in less than 45 days.

So basically what we have here now is that the phone's are ready to roll, and we are waiting on Verizon to give it the green light for sale?
