T-Mobile is selling the Nexus 4 unlocked??? Confirmed!

For those that don't know I bought my phone as soon as it went on sale on the 14th. I requested my unlock code the next day. Well 3 weeks later I'm still waiting for my unlock code (I got the automated email the next day saying my request was being processed for my unlock code).

Well, I got to thinking today, Tmobile made no other changes at all to the phone so did they even bother to SIM lock it? I put a non Tmobile SIM in my phone and it never asked me for an unlock code

I'm going to try to find someone with an active non Tmobile SIM card that will let me borrow their SIM to test it. Has anyone else tried it yet??

Hmmm, does the phone have a Tmobile splash screen when it's booted up?

*would* it have a t-mobile splash screen? If the only difference is the sim lock, I don't think that would warrant a modified bootloader.

EDIT: If you look closely at this video, you can see it only says Google.

I put an At&t SIM card in my phone and connected to their network just fine.

I have now confirmed that buy a Nexus 4 from T-Mobile is no different at all then buying from Google Play, 100% identical unlocked phones!

Just more expensive.

I like this ... and congratulate T-Mobile for keep a Nexus a Nexus. I hope VZW is watching.
