I think there is someone on here who knows of a BB tour2/bold coming up in end of April/may sometime, so that would be on the list (most likely).

I've read online where the blackberry was suspected for May too.

Hey, if that doesn't work for you, try P90X sometime, holy crap the soreness.... I wonder if Android will come out with a personal trainer app, so we can have our home work out routine right on our Incredible!!

I don't know if anyone answered you yet, but I'll try my best to explain. I came from a BB Storm to a HTC Eris. There is no 'custom dictionary'... It's actually less of a hassle on the Eris actually. Let's say you wanted to type the word "y'all"... Once you type the word it's added to your 'dictionary'.... So now soon as I type y' the word y'all pops up and its done & there. At least on the Eris there is no 'physical' place on the phone where I can add custom words or abbreviations. The phone just remembers them and adds it to the phones memory.
I personally like the way the Eris handles 'words' better than my BB Storm.
Hope that helped. Perhaps someone with better technical jargon will chime in. ;)

Really? You mean it's not an actual photograph of a big box actually flying through a giant piece of paper with writing on it in the sky? Of course it looks PS'd that's probably what they created it with.

I honestly think some VZW exec somewhere somehow is watching this thread with a bowl of popcorn laughing his head off.

He is having the time of his life treating us like little children trying to jump and reach a lollipop thats being held too high. :-(
 
Hey, everyone, I don't want to jump in and be a naysayer and do the PhotoShop call-out, so please don't take this post as that! I want to believe as much as the next person that the Incredible is just around the corner! :)

But in the pic from the unnamed trusted member - the copyright at the bottom just says Verizon, not Verizon Wireless, which is what it says on their "normal" site. Is that possibly because it's different on their Intranet? I hope that's all it is! I'm just a pessimist by nature though so I have to ask! :D

I think everyone is reading too much into the image of the box. Let's think about what else they could do....

A big fat ?.......i don't think so.
they obviously aren't going to show the devices.......
hmmm, 3,2,1.....a rocket maybe?....unlikely

IMHO, the box is simply a way of showing that things are coming. (you know, they will be delivered...) Could they have done without it and just said "Things are coming"? Sure, but thats really plain vanilla and boring.

So unless this is all a clever ruse by someone who is trying to cause a stir....The box is just a box.
 
Hopefully someone can clarify this for me. From what I read it appears that all the info we are getting is coming from Best Buy. Is this correct? If so I was curious if the Motorola Droid came out at the same time at Best Buy as it did in Verizon Corporate stores. If not maybe we may see it sooner than the 25th...
 
I'm going to predict there will be a Verizon '6' announcement either this Thursday afternoon or Friday morning. All just theory, here is what I will guess the 6 devices (?) and availabilities will be in the announcement;

Here's what's coming available in the near future at Verizon...
1. The Incredible - available for pre-order on 4/12, in stores on 4/25 or 4/29.
2. Nexus One - available in May
3. iPad 3G service - available in May
4. iPhone 3G, World phone model - available in June
5. Moto Shadow aka Nexus II - available in July
6. Moto Droid II - available in August

I have my doubts about inclusion of the Nexus and Apple products. Sounds like they are not happy they can't carry the Nexus in-store and therefore may not want to give it any pub. Apple of course wants to always be the one to make announcements about their product availability.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought I read somewhere that the company Apple is (supposedly) contracting to make the phones for Verizon is a different company than the makers of the one for AT&T and that production wasn't even supposed to start till September? Where are people getting this June date from? It's still not for certain that Apple has agreed to making one anyway.

i just came back from my verizon store here in naperville IL and the employee there showed me the email he received same thing that is posted on BGR site. So it is legit. He did state there was no info on what devices. It will be more than one but stated he him self is waiting for the incredible and has not heard anything on release date yet. just a FYI
