Wait... I'm not sure I got this right.

I know my monthly discount will remain unchanged. I'm wondering about discounts on the purchase of the Incredible. Do you think they'll honor that? (if there is a discount, that is.)

You can go to slick deals and see best buys ad for next week now but it will not be in that, it will be in their Mobile monthly ad on the 25th.

I'm going to assume this is a well intentioned post and respond to it as such. If VZ was intentionally messing with us, as you put it, it would be bad PR. The PR person, I have a kind of email relationship with, has been nothing but kind, cordial, informative, personable and informative. I don't see them treating their customers in the manner you mentioned.

I would have to say that since the Incredible is such a hyped phone, the more under wraps they are able to keep it, the more interest there is in its upcoming announcement. Just my .02. ;)

Ok. So can someone help me out with this? I have been with VZW for almost a year. It will be a year in August. If BB gets the INC first will I be able to renew my two years for the discount or will I have to hold off until a VZW store gets the INC?

Steven I agree with you. I posted a while back that this is just a marketing strategy for Verizon. They didn't officially say anything yet people are mad about the phone they didn't really confirm existed. Besides, if you had a ton of palms to get rid of and a huge stock of older android phones, why would you officially announce a kick ass phone that would get more people to wait around for it? All us phone nerds in this forum will wait cause that's what we do. Other less snoopy and informed people will buy the BOGOs and other phones and then about half of them will pay full price to get the incredible. Total win-win for Verizon, and really doesn't make them jerks, just smart capitalistic a-holes. :D

anyways- I am excited I'll get my first smart phone, I've been riding the emotional roller coaster for a while now and I too fall into line for being obsessed over this phone. I wanted the iphone to come to big red for so long (cause i liked my Ipod) but this phone will make me a very happy camper. I just hope we get to see some official press on it soon and some reviews on it as well!

You can wait until your NE2 is up (20 months like RockDog said) or pay full price for the phone which will most likely be around $599.... orrrr...

Add a line for $9.99 / month and give them your current phone and use their contract price for your phone, and then split the bill. Haha

Cool... imHo, however, I wouldn't think of the Incredible as secondary to the iPhone. I think the impending announcement of the 4g iPhone, the incredible and the evolving android platform demonstrate that the iPhone as it is, now, is a bit loooong in the tooth, as it were. :)
 
why are all these sites kinda acting like the news broke with them rather than thanking our stars?
