Please keep in mind, there's a sucker born every minute.

I got an EnV Touch when it first came out from VZW online. It went down $50 like 3 weeks later. The price has gone from $199 to $29 for the last year and everything in between. Prices are flexible and they can "promote" anything they want anytime they want at any price they want.
 
Even though it was a long wait, and EVO and Desire was announced, but when the HTC Incredible launches, it will still be the FIRST device to launch with 1ghz snapdragon, 2.1 Android Sense UI in the U.S.!!!

That is still something big!

Well.....according to them the cities that will have it are New York, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Los Angeles, Miami, Pittsburgh, Salt Lake City, St. Louis, Boston, Denver, Kansas City, Houston, Minneapolis, San Francisco and Washington, D.C (take a guess where I am from my name here)

And it really was a question. I appreciate sarcasm as much as the next guy (c'mon...I'm a New Yorker).... but for the 4-6 weeks....I mean...after this much waiting...aren't you at all interested? Its not just the cost of the phone but the total cost of the contract and the phone.

I really am undecided on this.....Been waiting on this phone (was expecting it in Jan - would have got it in a heart beat)...now I have this question...... really wanted opinions.

I completely meant what I said about the activation fee though...I mean c'mon guys...get real.

Ok...Second. For all the people who are complaining about an activation fee and whether to do this online. Anyone with a corporate discount (me, and I am sure a billion others)...there is no activation fee...they wave it in store. As well as transferring contacts and other things. Free.

If you have to pay the 30-50 dollar activation fee...And I am not saying that throwing away money is ever a good thing...especially in this economy..... But....Over a 2 year contract this phone is going to cost about 2.5 grand..... complaining about 50 bucks? I'll just do it in store....make sure everything works...and walk out with a brand new phone that I can use immediately. Immediate satisfaction and a new phone.

Like I said...doesn't pertain to a whole bunch of us where its waived to begin with...but c'mon...get real...$50? Yes its a complete ripoff but honestly..its a drop compared to what the phone will actually cost.

But back to the first question...anyone going to wait what will probably be 4-6 weeks to be able to compare? We've already waited this long. Plus...and yes I am no way a fanboy of them....but maybe OS4 will actually be good? No real need to jailbreak (hahaha....I can't believe I typed that myself) and by then we'd know if its on Verizon too (they always announce in June)

Well I agree with you on this. Have we over waited this phone? Two months ago had it launched, it would be king for a long while and unchallanged for a while, but with new and possibly better phones really close to the release of this one, I'm not so sure about it. Like you said, the Evo will be dropping in June and with a possible Verizon iphone on the way this summer with upgrades to it, how long will this phone be a bad ass? Also, Verizon is going to be launching it's LTE (4G) this winter and you know that they will need a bad ass phone for that. I've been waiting for awhile now and I don't really seem to care anymore. It really must impress me or I'll pass and wait.

Yeah..that was kind of my point. I'll be signing a 1 year contract if I do VZ (knowing they have already said no 4g phones till next summer - of course that can change). And the 4g only really interests me for the Internet Connection Sharing through WIFI (IT Consultant...always walking around with my computer).

Considering Sprint's comes out 6 weeks later....(assuming middle of June) has 4g, has a 4.3 inch screen (on screen typing that much easier) HDMI Out....and FREE....FREE wifi tethering that is truly unlimited (no 5 gig cap)...it is tempting to see what people think.

I actually just put out a FB post inquiring on whether Sprint service has improved at all in NY (had the 8 years ago and couldn't get service in my apt). I honestly don't know many people with them...but that doesn't mean they are sucky...maybe just underused.
 
Even though i've been reading EVERY post today, i'm still a little confused. So, best buy is launching it the 29th, and Verizon is the 29th too? And all this pre-sale/ordering it online talk? Plus i've heard people throwing around the 17th/22nd/25th as dates around?

It's pretty much confirmed that Best Buy will launch the 29th, the Verizon may launch the 22nd or 25th, but that's not confirmed.

This is my one and only reply to this poster who has obviously created another user, and is trying to stir up problems in this thread. He used to post as IncrediblyAnnoying (which was fitting) I'm only posting this to inform those members who may not know to not listen to IncrediblyBACk. He was a user earlier, has been banned twice for trying to pass off photoshopped pictures as fake. So to all members,

please disregard, and ignore all of IncrediblyBACk's posts.
 
if it is fake or not, what can we do about it? nothing

it doesn't matter...if it is released on the 29th or whatever, then its all fine and dandy.

if not, then people come back and flip out at all the people on here posting 'info'.


i really dont see the point in getting so excited/depressed over a date

Okay, i get it, your good with PDF's... congratulations. But you can't just come out and say something is fake without any backup what so ever. This is something that has been confirmed across the board from multiple sources and you expect us to believe that this is fake just because you have "experience"??? Let's be real man, I'm happy to listen to what you have to say as long as you present the information appropriately.
 
Yet another long time reader, first time poster.

I'm currently using a Moto W7 series dumbphone... in fact, it's better then the Touch Pro I have sitting in one of my computer part drawers.

Anyway, on the way home I had a rather morbid though. It's a good thing it's not an "i" product we are all salivating over. If it were, our local leakers might suddenly decide to jump off a roof in "disgrace".
 
One way to find out report a post saying this might be the same guy banned 2 times. They check his IP in the Admin view of VB done it on many occasions. Then if it comes back as a match they can ban him. What they really need to do though is ban the IP.

Although I will heed woodraskam's advice and ignore, I must say though that this person (who shall remain nameless, since we're ignoring them now) must not be "incredibly" bright, because how would anyone who is not a mod or an admin know that 'there are numerous people PMing eachother' ?? Duhhh....

People in this forum have been waiting for this phone for a very long time. Most feel like they haven't had a pack of cigerattes in weeks... or like this... :eek:.

I was thinking more of, if you're gonna try to play it off that you're not the unnamed one, wouldn't you not use a dead give away username that you are the same person?

Edit: and how long before a first time poster says, "I was the one PM'ing with ______"
 
Another vzw rep story. I stopped into the vzw store on my way to get food for the dog. I had to get the latest scoop from one of my contacts in there. I've talked to this guy on 3 occasions and he's well aware of this forum and all about the Incredible. I've been skeptical of the photo of the box coming out of the paper. Well, my contact got out his little hand held computer and BLAM there it was that photo. He said it came from corporate! Everything on that computer is controlled by corporate. He wouldn't let me take a picture. Also, there were 2 other links on the site. One would not open. The other was a link labeled "Device Database List". That opened and BLAM again there was listed in VZW's database "HTC Incredible 6300" I saw It in there database!!! He said, "so now you know." FWIW. I was not believing those pictures showing the BB 29th release date but now I'm a believer.
