AHHH! Back from a 2 week vacation with no computer.
I did start reading from about 50 pages back last night and caught up this morning. Seems like I didn't miss much and seems like I missed a lot also ( I know, makes no sense). Thanks to all about finding the BBY info and sorry Montana about the bad box joke.:rolleyes:

I can't believe there is still nothing Official from VZW but, It seems there is credible evidence from the BBY screen shots.

I still will be waiting fro the Incredible..For 2 weeks again...LOL:D

P.S. Missed everyone and it's nice to see a lot of new members.

Wireless N = Awesome! I can't wait to read the user guide for the next several days and hope that it holds me over until the phone comes out. Do we think it may be available prior to the29th since it's going to be in the BBY add on the 25th. I have a feeling we may be able to call VZW the the SKU and act like we got a email about the phone and try to order it.

Verizon is still oblivious to Anything Incredible. They would look at you like a deer in headlights.

HA! Phone Arena updated their specs on the "upcoming for verizon" page for the incredible to read that it's coming out on 4/25...They've hardly ever been wrong. If it's on Phone Arena I believe it! ;)

many new phones use the same Broadcom chip for WiFi and bt. That chip has N built-in by default. What would be a first is if the software officially supports it and doesn't require hacking to enable.

So let me pose the question....if the Verizon iPhone happens to get officially announced today (or any time between now and April 29th), will you be at least somewhat hesitant about the Incredible? I mean, I can't stand Apple and I think iPods/iTouch/iTunes have major flaws in both functionality and usability, but they are everywhere and somehow even though I resisted, there are 5 iTouches in my house and I wired in iPod integrations into both my wifes and my car stereos. So I guess the iPhone would be more seamlessly integrated into our existing technology in the house/auto, but man, I want the Incredible to be a slam dunk over the iPhone so there is no hesitation.
Despite their ponytail / prius driving fanbase, Apple is every bit as money hungry and consumer screwing as Microsoft....I'd love to see them get crushed. I wonder how the mainstream user would compare the two phones....

I could copy and paste all the technical jargon, or just say wireless N is the newest wireless coding provides stronger reception compared with the typical wireless, with wireless G you can except your speeds to be cut in half from your wired connection with N you get almost the same speeds as your wired connection

Right, but you'd get that 12MBPS using Wireless G as well (supports up to 54MBPS). :p

Wireless N or G for that matter will never be a bottleneck for someone with an average broadband connection speed. The only time you'd notice a difference would be doing something locally, like moving files from a pc to your android phone over wireless N.

However, does N have a longer range? THAT would be sweet.

90% of the time i'm in a building/home with wifi ... so, having N wireless is a wonderful thing.

as many people who complain about forced data plans, most of the time we're at work or home with wifi.
