I never installed cl14 and did not plan on it, I just wanted to go straight to 2.1 and be able to go back to 1.5 if needed

Been running it since noon with no problems at all. Everything seems snappier, but it's probably just my imagination. The auto-sync with yahoo mail sure is nice though.

It should be fairly soon. I'm an IT Mgr and have over 200 devices with Sprint...Needless to say I talk with my Sprint rep ALOT. She tells me that the techs on her team all recieved a final beta version to test just the other day...No official release date though...They even keep their employees in the dark.

options for Helixlauncher if you hit the menu button and its on the left, says 'configure'.

I like the N1 3D app drawer better than helix - it gives you 5 screens and cool N1 status:)
 
I've been running the DD23 kernal since this afternoon. Was a lil flaky but a second reboot after flash fixed everything. Also, I heard if you are have data problems you should goto setting and update data profile and update prl.

I hate when people complain before the completly exhaust all options....
 
I am soo tempted to do the update right now, It seems like we've been waiting forever for this. Should I attempt it? I have never even tried to root my phone before :-\ or is it too buggy and I should just be a good boy like sprint wants me to and wait for the official release lol btw now that it's been a whole day how did the batterly life go for u guys?

Are you running DC23 or DD03 since there is no DD23, at least I don't think there is.

As a lot of ppl said the old gallery shows up, camera improved a lot 3 home screens you tube app records and uploads video (i'm not sure if this was possible with 1.5)
loved the voice search, hate the stock apps. The MArket is running fine for me
Installed Astro file manager, handcent sms, advanced task killer, Pic Say pro (back up) and snapphoto pro (also back up)
All of them run fine.
I have to keep playing with it.. and see what else I can find

Ohh I forgot and just looking to my downloads in the market just found out that google maps has an update.

It's just a bit different, go to Contacts, then Menu and instead of Edit Contact, use Options. You'll find assign Ringtone and Direct to Voicemail options there.

Few things I am frustrated with are default browser and how very zoomed out initial page loads are, have to double tap zoom every page and doesn't save that. YouTube cannot play any videos anymore for some reason. And dang service tones still. Otherwise, been enjoying it. Default email is waaay better and actually deletes emails I tell it to, and more options on programs from the market is a huge plus.

Did the update profile both thru the phone as well as having sprint push the packet to me. As for the PRL, thats "preferred roaming list", really has nothing to do with your signal when your on Sprints towers.

you are absolutely correct on this.

p2theg77, the reason people complain is because they dont know what other options they have to exhaust, that is why we post here.
 
My desire to speak my texts while driving has brought me back to 2.1. I think Ill run this thru the weekend and decide whether to go back to 1.5 again.

So did you keep PandaHome? I deleted it after all the FCs.

you guys don't have DD23? I must be special lol. Yes, I meant DD03. Thanks for the correction.

Yes, there are some known issues. Streaming music doesn't work and I believe the battery drain might be slightly worse. And some people can't update profile. I can't.

For the most part I'm enjoying the leaked somewhat buggy 2.1. It makes me look forward to (and satisfies me) the official release even more.
