I almost hate to ask this for fear of opening up a can of worms...but here goes would you recommend installing the task killer app on the Incredible? I have heard both sides some say android handles running apps natively just fine others swear they get better performance and battery life with task killers.

I don't use them...but I always wanted to hear a better reason why I should or shouldn't.

Does anybody have an ideas how an aftermarket battery might affect the camera on the back? I've never had to go that route, but I'm thinking even if it adds thickness, I'll get a flat back which I won't mind. Hmmm.

I have an htc touch and how they do the bigger battery is they expand the back cover, but the camera is unaffected.

Sorry I've been trying to scan an ENTIRE DAY of posts. Did we ever figure out if the 8gb is actually on board? and if so any talk about being able to be used for apps?

I've searched and haven't been able to find any. Has anyone released any accessories for the phone? ie. case, screen protectors?

Lastly, anything major other that the user guide and spec sheet released today?

Well, it has a smaller battery, right? I wonder if there's a way to jam an after market battery in there that is more powerful, but the same size.

Yes I wonder the same thing. I think we can assume the #1 complaint with this phone once it is out will be battery life. Not that it will stop me since my Storm doesn't even last a full day with very minimal use.

This is one of Seidio's specialties- larger capacity battery with the same physical footprint. It's only a matter of time before they release something for Incredible.

I hope that Swype works with it.

Though I've been using voice-to-text since the droid 2.1 update. It's not perfect, but it's easy enough to edit anything that it doesn't transcribe right.

I believe the Nexus One has an after market battery that is 1600 mAh and doesn't require a different back plate. However they also have a 3200 mAh that does need a larger cavity. I would like to assume that they could do the same for the Incredible. Seidio makes it. I would be happy with a couple 100 mAh bump.

Class 2 is 16mbits or 2MB/s or 7200MB (7.2Gigs) / Hour
Class 4 is 32mbits or 4MB/s or 14,400MB (14.4Gigs) / Hour
Class 6 is 48mbits or 6MB/s ... etc

So i'm betting your sd card is actually a class 4. Not that it matters any. Class 2 is still ok - very poor if you plan on using your 8MP camera at all. you want a class 6 or better with that camera!

funny i just got an class 2 16gb microsdhc and it took me less than an hour to transfer 14.3gb(which the real capacity is 14.8gb)
got it for $25

I just went on their website, and you're right on. It's just a matter of time before they come out with one for us.

Nice work!!

This one for the N1 doesn't look bad.

The backplate would probably be the same shape with the same protrusion in the middle since that is where the battery is. It would just stick out farther.

I have an extended battery for my BB Tour. 2600mAh, of course its bigger and adds a tiny bit to the thickness of the phone, but it is well worth the purchase. I unplugged it from the charger at 7 AM this morning, and it still has 3 and a half bars of battery left, with heavy usage. Basically, it will last 2 days without charge. Needless to say, I will be buying an extended battery from Seidio as soon as they become available for the Incredible. Extended battery + battery saving applications = no battery life worries.

It would be a great idea. Watch this video.

I wouldn't think they would miss label it, but they probably could, if they're sending out counterfeit cards(even though it's not a Kingston), at least i got mine cheap

In the year 2010 I am really curious why a FM radio is a benefit.

Mp3-4 player, plus loads of great internet radio apps with customization that are free and can be listened to 24/7....

...other than to maybe catch local sports & news, I cant imagine a need for a FM radio. (Inclement weather, maybe?)

Looking at the card 16gb card from the Droid, it has a 2 in a circle printed on it. Does that mean class 2? I guess if it is I need to invest in a class 6 for best use of the Incredible's camera?
