Temporarily we will be using the kernel from Harmonia, and or trying to use the kernel from CM. Will see what happens when we get closer, still making radical changes to the device files to line them up with VM.

what do the vm files have to do with it? i have the sprint version of the 3d thats having the issue

that what happen to me too. IMA revert back to ICS for now until this cm10 get issue fix than I promise to be back on it d=] great ROM just a little issue may take sometime to solve.
 
Observations:
1) "Screen Shot" function is disabled by default? This is enabled by default on all other ROMs ( Including your CM7 for Triumph )
2) I know that in CM7 there was a "cyanogenmod" section of settings. This is no longer true for CM10, where as the settings are distributed to there prober settings sub-section. But are all settings available? Is there a way to check that nothing else is "hidden" or disabled ( that makes sense to expose ).

vol down + power = screenshot

for CM settings . Click > settings>system. and there are lots of options and sub options to play with. CM10 is a lot different than CM7

I have tried everything, even bought the 4EXT recovery system and wiped/reinstalled. No matter what I do face unlock doesn't work.

Actually, it is, there's a weird trick which seems to make it work, but its annoying. After I press power button and slide to the UNLOCK icon, it will go to the pattern screen. If I hit the power button twice at this point, when it turns back on it will show the face unlock. But this is the ONLY way to get face unlock working.

I can confirm just tried it and it works perfectly. Something must be going on with your install :confused:
 
I flashed this and I can't sign into a google account because there is no option for it anywhere. When I flash GApps the apps just don't appear.

EDIT: Seems you have the wrong GApps listed, The 20121011 worked for me
 
All in all, how is this one coming along? Is the 3D camera isssue the only known one so far? From what I'm reading so far, this is the one I will be strapping on next.
 
Anybody know why this toggle doesn't work when u press it? I mean, if u long press it, it takes u to the wimax settings which is cool but just tapping it does not turn on wimax.
 
if you look at the gapps page it says those are the 4.2 gapps so the 20121011 is the latest right now for 4.1 (you have to hover over the link and click view changelog.)
 
Ok, help me out guys.
Exactly which gapps are we supposed to use?

edit: Also, when I click on the rom link on the OP page, it directs me to a page with a number of links. Which one of these do I need?

One more thing too. What's up with that "TouchScreen"? There are 2 links for it on the same page as the rom. Is it necessary, or better yet, what is it for? God knows I don't need a lot of stuff I don't really need on my phone.
