lol yes, these forums are phandroid's they just watermarked the image since they were first sent to them so they could get credit for them but I think it's also because Anonimac thought it was Incredible related but I don't think it is.

Sorry, but enthusiasm about a phone is one thing. Getting personally invested in it is another, and it's totally annoying. Fanboys act like they're a better person simply because they have an iPhone. They act like they had a role in designing and manufacturing it. I'd like to think that the folks in here a better than that. As awesome as this phone appears to be, it's still just a phone, and if anyone ever hears me arguing with someone else about who is cooler because of a freakin' phone, you have full permission to shoot me on sight.

I agree with that, it's not something to argue about, like religion...

But it's not bad to have conversation and a discussion about those things. I really like the openness of less restriction of Android in general, but I have to give it to Apple, their touch screen keyboard is way more accurate then any Android device keyboard I have used. I can pick up an iPhone or an iPod touch and type really fast without errors. With the Droid at least, there are more errors, and when I start typing really fast the phone doesn't know what just happened...

Speaking of this, does anyone know about the typing accuracy and speed of the Incredible?

Are customer's asking for more information/announcements as to what cool Project Pink phones are coming? No. We would like to hear any confirmation about the Incredible, and have every right to bad mouth Verizon if they don't.

You missed my point.

My point is that because these sites run with this like Monday is definitely the announcement date for the Incredible, people are going to throw a fit if it's not and blame Verizon (even if the announcement is coming a couple days later because MS paid to have theirs first or something).

Look I think it is pretty obvious from my being here a while I'd love an announcement just like anyone else (just like I was hoping at MWC and CTIA), and if Monday comes and goes without one I won't be happy about it, but I'm not going to sit around chastizing Verizon without more knowledge of why.

I'd love for them to tell us more and I get annoyed at times that they don't, but Verizon doesn't have to tell us anything, and even if they anger a thousand forum goers off, this phone is going to sell like crazy when it does hit stores regardless. I'm not switching service providers anytime soon, but if you don't like them then switch, I wouldn't blame you.

I think you are taking way more out of this than you need to. This isn't your phyciatrists office. I was simply looking for a good article that would counter the Iphone fanboys that I know. BTW this is the ANDROID forums and as such would expect android fans to answer. Thanks so much for your opinion though. Have a great day sir.:rolleyes:
 
does anyone know if we can install apps in it? or will it be treated like an SD card and so we can only put non-app files (music, video, docs, etc.) in it?
 
Incredible work done by the studs on this thread...and love the evergreen reference for specs.

Just curious, with all the info coming out, how much of the information is totally un-photoshoppable? I don't doubt the validity of many of the screenshots (emails, inventory, cellebrite, best buy stuff) - but they all could be photoshopped, theoretically.

What's the list of totally infallible data/info? Here's what I have:

Proof of Incredible on Verizon

1. Verizonewireless.com Info manager. Everyone saw the Incredible on their website. No faking that.
2. @vzwoffers acknowledges it's existence and says 'all good things to those who wait'. For what that's worth.
3. Early video of guy playing with HTC Incredible where VerizonWireless logo appears on screen. Nearly impossible to fake.

Anything else to add to the list?

Well it might be possible but Google has also stated that they will allow apps to be installed to SD cards in a future update.
 
I have my own Verizon Store story. I went to a store on my lunch our with my wife so she could look at phone. We are currently with AT&T and looking to switch. She is not a techie and has been using a nokia flip phone for a long time (2+ years). She is not sure how sophisticated phone she want. She kept going between the Samsung Rogue and the Droid Eris.

The first rep I spoke to say that she liked the name Incredible, but did not have any credible information. She did confirm that she got the email about stuff to come.

Later, I was speaking with the manager of the store and she offered to waive the restocking fee for up to six months if I got a different phone. She said that they don't get much information before the phones come out, except for training about 2 weeks before.

I also got a message from the person that handles my company's discount and she said that she had some meetings today and Monday, but did not have any specifics. Based on all of the postings, this might be some Microsoft phone.

Nothing new, but they did not shy away from the word Incredible and at least knew what it was.
 
So MM and Kappy what is it? Less then 2 hours till your free? Have you two thought of what your first post will be as free men?

The manual does say that you can install application on the SD card, from my understanding. I don't know if it will allow that on the internal memory, the manual does not mention any internal memory, so i'm not sure, but why not? I think it will be able to.

I never said it was specifically Incredible related, but i do think it's the beginning of announcements of new phones (~6) and i do think the Incredible will be one of them...does not imply Monday. (journey)

the only thing that might prevent that is if you can see the 8gb of memory when you connect to the pc. you could just copy the app files to the pc or SD card and pirate them that way. I hope you can use that space for whatever you want though.
 
VZW STORY!!

Went during lunch today. My main questions was to see if I can get an upgrade price even though I am not due for an upgrade if I am going from a phone with no data plan, to a smartphone with a data plan.

Me: *question stated above*

VZW: We are not really supposed to, but I know a lot of Managers have been handing out deals like that and I am sure we could hook you up with something. What phone were you interested in specifically?

Me: Well, to be honest, the HTC Incredible.

VZW: Huge grin, looks me dead in the eye. "Now THATS a phone. I cant tell you much, but its worth waiting for."

Me: Yea, I am very excited for it. Do you know when its officially coming out?

VZW: We dont have a date yet, at least not knowledged here, but we never know till about 2 days before we are supposed to sell them, they kind of just "arrive" here. I would go online to like Endgadget or some site like that. I hear there is a thread on an Android forum thats got tons of info on it.

Me: Oh really? ;)

VZW: Yea, thats where you will get the latest. But its definately a phone worth waiting for, but I dont have a date for you.

Me: Okay, thank you.

Pretty simple conversation, but at least he very much knew and acknowledged the phone as existing and being LEGIT. Thought you guys might want to hear and know that we are read quite often by VZW employees :)

Waiving a restocking fee in order to gain the store (quota) credit for two new lines of service, is highly prohibited. That VZW manager made you a deal that could get her fired. She must be low on activations this month.
