Help Change phone key sounds from water to traditional?

This is driving me crazy! Is there any way to make the phone keypad sounds use the normal tones rather than water droplet sounds? I can't find the option in the settings menu (if it exists).

Is there any to change the phone keypad tones from that annoying water drop to something else (like regular DTMF)?

(Rooted S3, Synergy Rom).

y not just switch em off n just use vibration..... stop annoying people on the bus lol. other than that are you on JB or ICS?
ant what keyboard? (the setting may be within the keyboard app)..... in my keyboard it is (smart keyboard pro)

in stock keyboard it can be switched off or changed.
go to settings, language and input, the cog next to "samsung keyboard",then "sound and vibration" :)

unless youre good with a file explorer or someone knows what folder the sound is in?

maybe try changing "default notification" in sounds.

id just get a better keyboard lol

You can with swiftkey, and likely others as was mentioned.
The problem I'm still stuck with, which is related, is every other sound feedback from tapping something is that water droplet, and the lock screen sounds are still water related even though I use widgetlocker. I'll root eventually and assume it will remedy, but if there is a way around it in the meantime I'd be interested. It's sort of annoying after a few weeks.

I was using Liquid Smooth for a while and that has normal DTMF tones. I went back to Synergy Rom which alas has the infernal water drops. Never did figure out how to change that.

In order to change to keypress sounds, or any tone on the phone, you need to root so you can change the .ogg files that reside in the /system/media/audio/ui.
I have changed them by finding files here:
SoundJay.com - Free Sound Effects
Then using a program to change the mp3 or .wav files to .ogg files, then moving them with Root Explorer to the above mentioned location. But like I said, you have to be rooted to change the files on the /system partition.

Sounds eminently do-able.
(especially in that I'm already rooted).

thanks.
