I suppose hot reboot is like a virtual reboot. The apps will act like your phones been rebooted without actually rebooting. Although the feature doesn't seem to work for me, my phone just hangs at the Samsung screen.

Yeah the base Rom is just a stripped down stock Rom with a few performance tweaks so it'll look the same unless you choose to theme it. It's the best of both world as there are people who like the stock look.

Use aroma 1.5a and yeah flash it the same as you did the rom just without the wipes. If you haven't already downloaded I'd download from mirror 1 as it seems to be a lot quicker for me as I don't have a premium account for deposit files.

Siyah can be flashed, it's in the aroma.

In salesmans "bloatware" lists.. is that whats included?
Im planning eventualy to just make this into a google phone but that was good practice :)
Restoring apps was a PIA though lol i must have a lot of pointless crap (355 apps) :)
 
Yeah batteries goodwith neat and siyah. I'll charge my phone up during the evening, usually comes off charge about 9pm and I'll have 50-55% left when I finish work at 4:30pm the next day. Considering I only use my phone to guide the forum so if my screens on I'm on the internet I'm impressed with that.

You can install any, all or none of the bloatware in the installer. Things will become clearer when you flash it. You just use the touchscreen to select the relevant parts. Just be aware that if you install the jkay mod from the aroma you'll need to buy jkays app to get full functionality.
 
Just recovered from fri nite lol so downloading aroma 1.5a (looks like its gona take a while.
So which kernel would everyone recommend?
And the stuff i dont use, can i delete it somehow or do i have to keep the 500mb?

If you want to change the options just flash the aroma again. I'm using the modem which came with the rom as well, if your getting good reception then there's no need to change it.

Multi window works. There should be an app called multi window control in your app draw which lets you put whichever apps you want in the multi window tab. I haven't tried the nexus camera mod so I'm not sure about that one.
 
Found the multiwindow app mate, only trouble is theres no toggle, widget or shortcut for it so i have to use stock toggles (hate that daft semi circle) :)

I'm sure I read somewhere on the NeatRom XDA thread that if you install the Nexus camera then you have 2 camera apps, the stock camera & the Nexus one. I'm sure someone will confirm soon.

I installed NeatRom lite last night and so far so good, very smooth and battery seems great so far. Thanks Salesale
 
I was messing around last night and installed the nexus Camera from v1.4a and to me it just looks like a theme/skin over the TW one.

Yes both cameras are available. :), and both galleries.
 
thanks for all the help salesale neatrom is running really well now just need the ink affect which should be there in the next aroma release :)
 
Right ive messed around with the toggles setting mate, put the things there that i want then just hit "home" and realised nothing had changed.
Am i missing something? Before pressing "home" i hit menu to see if there was a save option.
Is this a known issue bro or just me?
