[ROM][LINK][ODIN] FL14 Jellybean 4.1.2 Virgin Mobile Leak

Well, I have been using this ROM for almost an hour and I am loving it so far. There haven't been any issues. There are some new features I noticed right off the bat that I love. When you plug in the USB storage to the computer, the interface is much easier. It simply says "Phone" and "Card" haha can't get any simpler than that. On ICS stock it would mount both internal and external storage as a seperate drive letter in my case it was F: and G: and I always forgot which was what.
I also noticed that it gave the option to create a Samsung account as others have noted. I haven't experimented with this yet. The visual voicemail does in fact work and overall the UI seems quicker and more responsive. I am in the process of restoring my apps and launcher with Titanium Backup and we'll see how the ROM does as time goes on. Though it still being early in the game, I can say that I do love it so far and I am so thankful for the work put into it.
I also flashed the FL14 Kernel repack with Agats recovery :)

Has anyone else tried the updated build? How is it working for you?

Okay. I do have an issue. When I install an app from the Market it downloads, looks likes it's about to install and then it says "Unable to install to USB storage or SD card" and it doesn't install the app. Does anyone else have this happen?

EDIT: Reboot fixed the issue. I believe I mounted the USB storage to pc but didn't unmount correctly. Anyway, this ROM is smooth!

no issues for me, been running it for about 10 hours or so. the scrolling seems to be tighter as opposed to the ICS scrolling really fast...I'm not sure if that's just a lag issue or it really is different. typing on swype sometimes gets a little laggy too, haven't tried the other keyboards. I like the stock ICS messaging app over the JB one though. but all in all I love it.

The repack installs Agats custom recovery. It's basically a repackaged kernel. On this phone the kernel and recovery are packaged as one. Change the recovery, you change the kernel and vice versa. The stock FL14 repack kernel is just the same kernel as what you're using now but with a custom recovery :)

Yeah that's one thing that bugged me with stock ICS on this phone. The scrolling was so sensitive that it was so easy to jump to the bottom or end of a page with just the smallest movement. You are right, this rom is much better at scrolling.
Changing the subject to features of the rom, I like the options to block certain events like calls, messages during certain times. Also, the jellybean stock messaging app is pretty cool in my opinion. It has option to reconnect incoming split SMS messages into a single message and to also mark a number as spam :)

does this have a custom recovery? or a way to get one on it? like can i flash on in odin mode after or will that not work

EDIT: also i noticed that on the page it said it had the issue of the USB JIG being disabled does that mean i lose my ODIN mode and then im stuck on this rom???

I had lock-ups freezes and force closes when I installed and then installed the kernel repack. I reinstalled without the kernel repack and it runs fine. I'm not a fan of the messaging or the keyboard. If anyone knows how I can replace them with stock JB I'd appreciate the advice. USB file transfer gave me issues when I had the kernel repack installed, wouldn't let me transfer my Titanium Backup files. Other than that I like the ROM. On a side note, the menu button likes to think it has been pushed quite often. I don't know if its because I have the otterbox on it, or if its something to do with the ROM but it gets very annoying and sometimes it pops up menus 5-10 times in a row. Is this happening to anyone else?

Does the ROM seem faster than stock ICS to you? I'm thinking about trying it again. Someone said the Wireless Tether for Root users app doesn't work. Does it work for you?

Wifi tether is working for me and it does seem a lot smoother for me than the ICS Stock and you can definitely tell project butter is there.

Yes, the FL14 kernel repack has a custom recovery. It is linked in the All Things Root section. On phone so can't link real easily. Also, I'm not experiencing issues with the kernel repack. USB transfer works fine and no issue with menu key so far. Keyboard can be replaced my market app. Not sure about messaging app. There is probobly some stock JB apks over at XDA or somewhere.

Hey guys to get WiFi tethering if its not working for you go over to xda and get TrevE WiFi Hotspot Mod and get the one from 11-18-2012 and when setting it up heres the steps:

Profile: Generic ICS/JB (wlan0)

Check Set Netdndc Max Client Cmd

Check WiFi-driver reload

Check Routing fix

And you should be good to go!

Heres a link to the mod

tried it out & I'm content. having said that, a few issues. is it always gonna say 'Android is updating' every time I boot up? also, I use Lucky Patcher for most apps to remove Google Ads. It worked fine all month while I just had Superuser but now I have SuperSU on here as well. I tried removing SuperSU but that was a big mistake (ended up reflashing). Do I really need both? I really wanna be able to remove ads again but it keeps telling me 'no root access found. update busybox or su'.

Did you do a full data wipe before flashing? Mine only has SuperSU and doesn't say Android is updating. JaayDog posted a link to a data/cache wipe tool. I used that before flashing FL14 :)

The android is updating is when its rebuilding the dalvik cache. They changed to it showing this in ice cream sandwich so bit didn't just set at the bootani for minutes while it was rebuilding the dalvik cache. Completely normal!

I wiped anyways and now it's fixed :D Another weird issue is that it won't let me run Titanium Backup now. I uninstalled it and tried to reinstall it but it tells me I've ran out of space, which is not the case. Any ideas as to why?

I had a problem with it recognizing my backup directory. It was looking in "external_sd" which is how ICS sees it. JB sees the external sd as "extSdCard" so you may need to reconfigure it like I had to. Not sure if you're speaking of the same problem or not but that's what I ran into.

You rock, man! Great find!!

nimr0d82 Try this Go to settings > application manager > tap on google play store click force stop + clear cache+clear data + uninstall updates .... reboot your device

Did as you suggested and nothing, it still turns up with the insufficient space message. I tried installing it from apk on the sd card and that also didn't work. So you guys are running Jellybean with no Titanium Backup problems?

I had minor initial problems, but after pointing to my backup directory no problems at all. I restored all my apps and even restores my call log, sms, and wifi networks via xml files. Not sure what to suggest :-/

I had the same problem but all you need to do is remove google account from the phone and then re add it and then reload Google play and you should be fine.

Hey Guys. I just got the Galaxy S2 for Virgin and activated it! Is this basically the only ROM for the Virgin version of this phone?

TheBritton, have you been using this without problems?

What are everyone else's experiences with this ROM?

Removed Google account and still nada. As for redirecting the folder, I can't do that cause I can't install Titanium Backup. That's my issue. I'm about to just give up on getting this to work. Thanks, guys.
