I want this so bad, my only problem is that I can pay on full retail since I cant get the NE2 option.

I just looked on verizon's website and it has the HTC Imagio for $579 full retail. Does that mean the Incredible will be like $700 since it is so much better.

Don't worry, the Incredible will have a low, low MSRP of only $2250.00; but WAIT! There's more! Right now, you can obtain dealer financing at a low 32.78% interest, plus docking and fees, for only $179/month for 36 months.
How can you pass up a deal like that?!?
 :p :D

Don't forget about your $90 a month insurance and annual municipal stickers

Hhmmmmm..... I just read a very interesting reply (I believe it's the 6th reply) to that 'article'. I do not know who posted that, but I really like their style....

Edit: heh, Steven58, I just saw that reply #4 was yours, right after I posted..... errr.... read, yes, read, reply #6. Reminded me of Star Wars ("Many Bothans died to bring us this information.....")
;-)

thanks for using logic.... some of these tech blogs must have tweens writing them from their devours.

1. How do you know it's not in Android framework? At some point a device has to be first to have a new feature, just because none have had it before doesn't make it impossible
2. We don't know if it is an identical display, but the multitouch issue was verified to not be present
3. Cap was in early rumors and test units, later test units did not and leaked documents show no cap.
4. Do you have a source or was this from thin air?
5. You're right that it won't replace the Droid but supplement it
6. You can't just base things on previous models, just because you don't think they designed the incredible differently doesn't make it so.

I can not refute any of your retort, since I already said my perspective was conjecture (conjecture = thin, or hot air) ;)

Then again, most of the posts here are conjecture, based on what other people have seen or briefly tried. Kind of reminds me what happens when a person at the end of line tells the next person to pass on information. What the final person hears tends to not be the same thing. Now add people in the line that distort on purpose.

The very premise of speculation is what makes this thread so fun. We just need the bookend now (final product).

ok, so i'm reading a lot of information on our thread and many other external sites and just want to clarify a few things, at least as i understand them.

I'm not saying the Incredible will be announced on Monday. The internal memo we, and other sites, have was an internal teaser/announcement to Verizon employees that Monday is the start of a journey. We all know that Monday is definitely dedicated to the Project Pink phones from MS but i've also been told be several sources that we will see 5-6 (not clear if it's 5 or 6 yet) new phones over the next month from Verizon and the Incredible will certainly be one of those. Our previous dates are not impacted as far as i'm aware but we may see more information (press kit, launch kit, accessories, etc...) or an announcement of the Incredible over the next week.

Either way this is an exciting time for anyone on Verizon as their portfolio is about to grow by 5-6 more devices and Verizon will be, in my opinion, better positioned than any other wireless carrier to provide a fit-for-purpose product for just about every demographic and phone segment, something that AT&T held the crown in for years. By the end of this year we'll see or (maybe two) LTE phones which will blow the pants off of everyone when Big Red starts implementing its change management processes and proven track record of infrastructure deployments and hardening. It's a good time to be a VZW customer...

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming...("this is the best microSD card"..."nah huh...THIS is the best microSD card"..."that's like so photoshopped"..."i'm old but pump iron watch out if i see you at the sizzler whippersnappers"...rinse repeat) :D:cool:

there wont be any lte phones by the end of this year...this info comes from two people that are testing the shadow and will be testing the droid 2. They said earlier there was a possibility of the droid 2 having the lte technology put into it, but now they say no way. We will be waiting until 2011 for the first lte handset.

Little concerned that the usb port and the volume rocker are on the same side- How will this work for docks? Say if you want to listen to music/watch videos while you have the phone in a dock you would not be able to easily access the volume control.

Perhaps the dock will have a volume control on it?

It would almost have to wouldn't it? Both the droid and the storm I believe have side usb ports but the volume rocker is on the opposite side- Seems like a bit of a design flaw to me( not enough to make me not want this phone BAD though)
My bluetooth headphones should solve the problem hopefully

There is a video about Sense available on Youtube that shows what Sense is about. I think it's pretty cool.

After only about a minute into the video, I was thinking that these guys at HTC have really done their homework, and thought out their strategy. Very well done presentation. :)

I really think that Sense will end up being the preeminent overlay UI in the Android market.

Did I miss anything Incredible?

I need to hire someone to give me the cliff notes on the 15 pages per day lol.

Hope everyone has an amazing weekend..I'm off to train!

You couldn't adjust the volume through the touch screen? They could have it where that side of the dock there is nothing there (think Droid car dock) and have it raised to give access to the volume rocker.

so everyone is still confident on the 25th or 29th release date?

With dingleberry's post of the Best Buy inventory screen giving us the first real confirmation of the 25th (as an in stock date) I would say yes though the 29th is more possible I would imagine.

Hey guys, been reading this thread post by post for about a week now, and I'm completely stoked on the Incredible. Saw this, and decided to chime in on the guy wondering about the Touch Pro 2.

On my way to the Verizon store to get a new battery for my LG Dare and will try to get some NEW information on the INC. I want the INC but like the actual keyboard of the Touch Pro 2. All the varying release dates and "rumors" "leaks" "unauthorized info", etc. is driving me insane - LITERALLY!!!

Question??? Just found this video of porting Android 2.1 on the Touch Pro2. . .isn't this the best of both worlds . . .if I get the TP2 and add Android 2.1 I get the best everything I want . . .no?? Plus the best key board on a cell phone EVER!!

Please comment on the pros and cons on this. . .been lurking on the site and know that their are several people on this thread that can give me some good advise on if this is a good move or not . . .getting impatient. My NE2 was March 26th and I am an instant gratification kinda guy.

Check out this link and please, please, please respond!!

PLEASE HELP!!!

I have used the Android emulator on my Touch Pro 2, and that's what convinced me to get an Android phone. I am currently on my 3rd Touch Pro 2, because it is a HORRIBLY buggy phone. Every one I have has failed to notify me of appointments, set off the alarm, and the like, not to mention the thousands of UI bugs.

I bought a used Droid Eris second-hand, and have been playing with it unactivated through WiFi, and really like it. Once you get a capacitive screen, you'll never go back to resistive.

I know what you're saying about the keyboard. The Touch Pro 2's is fantastic, dare I say, incredible, and a great QWERTY keyboard used to be an absolute must for me in a phone, but you know what? Phones are moving away from physical keyboards, and I have accepted that I just need to take that off my must-have list in order to get a phone that works better and has much better features. I am in the process of returning the Touch Pro 2 x number of times so they can swap me to a different phone (the Incredible), then I will be selling the Droid Eris.

hey guys. so i have an enV2 now...and when this comes out. how much will it be a month? $30? or more? i have never had a smart phone. so idk if it is just the $30 they advertise, or if its some more but they don't tell you right away.

what does the $30 (or more) plan get you?

I was more thinking of a desktop cradle rather than a car mount. Sorry if
i was unclear
