Steven, getting the HD2 is like saying that you are too dumb for Android. I'm glad you were kidding...or else.

I wasn't kidding. I like the screen size. As I get a bit older (51) I need reading glasses more and more, so bigge is better. Besides, if you look at the youtube demo of the hd2, sense ui has it pretty much hidden.

I do need Android, however, because I use my Gvoice almost exclusively, and the Android OS makes it veeeery easy to call with it. Gvoice is a free call on my family free call number list, so I hardly use minutes. :)

So, I'm not too dumb for Android, but I'm kind of tipping my hat to another fine phone, that's all. :)

Nah, I'm good. It has several things against it. They are:

1) it is Wm. 6.5
2) Screen is not Amoled
3) It is on T-Mobile. I need VZ because I run my business off the cellphone and need 100% coverage.

So don't worry about me.

I am going to go to 4.3" in the future sometime, though. ;)

Agreed. My only drawback to the Incredible is it doesn't have the 4.3" screen, but I'm over that can't wait to get my hands on it. I WILL be looking to upgrade to an LTE 4.3" screen in the future though.:D

Probably an inDesign file....:cool::D

InDesign CS2, to be exact. What, Verizon couldn't spring for CS4? :)

Normally, I'd agree with you. But the difference here is the typeface: Both of the production models of Supersonic and Incredible use the same typeface. Uppercase, futuristic looking. Check this and this
http://rest. Both are production colors (white and red vs. black and black). But in the User Guide, it has a totally different logo using HTC's typeface of choice: Gotham. Same font as the Obama campaign.

When compared to the Droid Eris, they have a different logo completely. They use the curly Droid branding. Why they aren't lumping the Incredible in with the other Droids, I've never understood.

Plus! HTC registered the trademark HTC Incredible

They will be coming out with a Verizon version of the Evo. I think it was posted a few 100 pages back, I think they are calling it the HTC Venture? Now I don't remember if that was made up or just speculation but I remember seeing the post and a link to a site that stated it was coming.

That was all speculation. The phone was to run on the LTE network which shouldn't begin to roll out till late this year. Verizon confirmed that it will launch it's first LTE phone in mid 2011. I, for one, pray that with the speed that technology has been developing that Verizon's LTE phones won't be on the level of a year old EVO. But, hey... it's Verizon so so anything's possible.

OMG, I was just at Radio Shack and saw the HD2. Granted it was a dummy phone, but it was beautiful! I did see it working on YouTube.com and liked what I saw. If it was coming to VZ, I would seriously consider it, even though it is WM. ...................

Nah. ;)

You had me scared for a second there!

See,... you didnt understand, what verizon means to say is, they are going to announce the evo on verizon, but by the time they actually release it, they should have already had LTE up and running for a few years.
You know,... kind of like the incredible.

I'm starting to wonder if verizon will even say anything at all about incredible tomorrow... I hope its not just the MS pink phones...ugh...

I hope the desktop and car docks are available at the time of the phone's release.

I don't know how you guys can buy this phone online. If you order it the 29th you are not going to get it until at least the 30th. I've been waiting for this phone for waaaaaaayyy too long to wait an additional day. HAHAHAHA!!! Seriously, I don't think I could wait another day knowing that I could just go to the damn store and get it.

if youre on a family plan, and the account isnt in your name, but your line is eligible for an upgrade. does the account holder need to go get the phone or can anyone?

That's Great! Yeah.. you want to build the suspense!

I do have to give Verizon a little credit for having the balls not to release phones prematurely. Unlike some other networks who have no problem releasing devices full of bugs just to get a jump on everyone. That's one of the things that makes them the #1 and most reliable network and will continue to.

Now that I'm done kissing their a$$.. give us a damn date already VERIZON!!!

And deal with the hassle of paying the additional $100 and having to use a mail-in-rebate to get your money back? No thanks. I'll order it online, get the $100 instant rebate, and get free overnight shipping. It's worth the few extra hours to me.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I'm currently with at&t. I was hoping to get a head start, but may have to wait until I get the phone. First smartphone, so I will be enjoying the discovery of its many features. :)

You should be able to do the same with AT&T's "Mobile Backup". Just make sure your backup list up up to date and then export it. I would think they use the .csv format as well since it's just a database file format that seems to be the set standard for things like Outlook etc.
