if youre on a family plan, and the account isnt in your name, but your line is eligible for an upgrade. does the account holder need to go get the phone or can anyone?
i believe you just need to know the account password.

And deal with the hassle of paying the additional $100 and having to use a mail-in-rebate to get your money back? No thanks. I'll order it online, get the $100 instant rebate, and get free overnight shipping. It's worth the few extra hours to me.
So... I just got finished eating Macaroni Gril...
Can any Verizon or BB workers try to see if they can get a screenshot of the screen protectors or extended batteries w/prices?![]()
Will that program eliminate the need to look at your phone and tap a contact when voice dialing? On the Eris, you can speak "Call so and so" but then a list pops up on the screen of possible contacts and you have to tap one. Does this program get around that? If so, that's great!
viperboy,
Look for docks too if you can. Specifically the desktop dock. I think the droid's car dock was pretty.... crappy and was just a holder with a magnet without a pass through.
50 is the price of the extended battery, right? Also, does it come with a wider back or something?
Thanks for the reply viperboy. I have seen that app described at AppBrain. It does appear however that it requires touching the screen and using phone's mic/speaker to initiate and then switch to the bluetooth. From their description "Unlike Droid's Voice Dialer, VDHF talks with you! It uses the phone's speakerphone/mic until a call is made (and can then switch to Bluetooth)."
This precludes true hands free and absolutely precludes dialing with phone in holster.
Anyone else have any solutions you have encountered for similar problem on virtually all other Android phones (except the one I mentioned earlier)?
for anyone who has ordered a phone line: was it shipped or delivered the next day? can you get it only m-f or do weekends count too?
No, my dad just got a droid the other day, and since he wasn't authorized to change anything my mom had to call customer service to make him able to upgrade a phone and add a data plan.
I do. Where I work, T-Mobile and Sprint have spotty coverage. Verizon is perfect.

Longest. Post. Evar.

Man, forums are quiet today! Is anyone else thinking that there will be multiple announcements throughout the week on this "journey" starting Monday?
Didn't want to get upstaged by the EVO announcement. Also, by most accounts, VZW was still in the last phases of testing at that point. VZW usually likes to have all their testing done, t's crossed, and i's dotted before they announce a device.

When you don't have Sprint signal, it roams on VZW towers.

what do you guys think about the EVO? worth waiting for? and whats the difference between the EVO and the Incredible? Which one do you think will be better??

If you guys wanna see this stuff ASAP, I need an email address from a mod...
Ok, here's yet another VZW rep story, but this one made me pretty happy and even more confident in apang saying the 29th.
I called VZW to take care of some data charges on a couple of my lines. After we got that sorted out, he brought up that I was eligible for an upgrade. I brought up the Incredible and surprisingly he was the first VZW employ I've spoke with that knew what I was talking about. We spoke for roughly an hour but this is the gist of what he said.
To make referencing people easier I'll call the rep Jim and his tester buddy Bill.
Jims friends with one the testers and said that Bill currently has the Incredible. He also said that Bill's had it for roughly 3 months now, and he loves it. Bill also recently just returned the nexus one(Jim said that Bill had that since the end of last year). Jim said that the N1 was SUPPOSED to be launched the 23rd of March but due to software issues it was delayed. Bill told Jim that it was due to the touch sensitivity or something along those lines. Jim also said that the past week they've been getting a bunch of emails saying that something big is coming in the very near future, but nothing has been announced. Jim said that in the emails he believes(along with his co-workers) that in a few of them there is a logo but its cut off so you cant make out what it is. All in all though he said that Bill was VERY confident that the N1 and Incredible will be released at the end of the month and his guess is that they'll be launched at roughly the same time(kind of like eris and droid). There was quite a bit more but that's pretty much the meat 'n taters.
O he also said that both of them were blazing fast. So I'm pretty pumped about the end of the month quite possibly being the END of our Journey. As much as I enjoy reading this thread and the people who contribute, I'll hopefully be enjoying my Incredible more![]()
I have been out of the loop for the past few days (i.e. x jillion posts) so this may be useless info, but I just stopped by the Verizon store in my neighborhood and asked the guy if the HTC Incredible is coming out tomorrow and he said, without any hesitation, "no, they are just announcing it tomorrow. That and a couple other phones."

Agreed. My only drawback to the Incredible is it doesn't have the 4.3" screen, but I'm over that can't wait to get my hands on it. I WILL be looking to upgrade to an LTE 4.3" screen in the future though.![]()

If someone could PM me, that would be great. Sorry, not that I don't trust you guys, but I know that sending the info to the mods will get it into the right hands and things. Just waiting for a PM from a mod or Guide.
