Root Leaked Jelly Bean update list

If I $300 for this phone...Honestly? I'd be damn satisfied. It's probably the best phone I've had on VM that's Android based...And I've owned nearly all of them @_@

Though I do keep missing my triumph from time to time >.> I really liked that phone, despite all its flaws xD

i still got my triumph i even port roms to it know and stuff. but i hate that i had the triumph and it got no updates get the evo v it gets no updates. i dont want a contract phone. but hopefully virgin mobile will get ubuntu phone i will jup to the ubuntu ship. but i herd google was mad at manufactures because they dont update there phones even tho google said that more phones should and can get updated. i 4got where i saw this at btw

I got mine on Amazon for like...150...Bargain hunter, am I.

I just want to see an OFFICIAL sense 4.0 on this bad boy. Sense 4 AND 3D?! I think my head would explode from the awesome.

Doesn't FrozenRom, albeit being ICS, use Sense 4.1 and have 3D? True its not official though.

The Evo V 4G is now a forgotten / abandoned phone since you can't even find it on htc's product page and not to mention some of us paid over $300 for this phone that's now being sold for only $140................... IMO they just want the phone off their hands and into yours............ Jelly Bean is out of the question since even not even Rumor sites mention this phone

............ Feels like the Triumph again :banghead:

Devs might stick around for the 3D and to use the phone to its full life expectancy........ Then again lack of 3D and 4G Source will forever hinder development

they must have receintly removed it, because I saw it a few weeks ago there, not that I am surprised, when we got it on VM, it was already a (EOL) phone from Sprint, all they did was get a lil more milage out of it on one of Sprints prepaid services. the phone has been around how long now? (and 300 wasnt bad for what the phonne is, without contract, think of what it cost out of contract when new) However they are still running the support page for it.

I'm not shocked it got dropped by now though, they just announced new phones, time to move the old and show the new (mind u I LOVE my EVO V, and the 3D features, so much I plan on finding a used LG Thrill also (my main carrier is Straight Talk, so I would like that for ST) and possably a backup EVO V at some point. I remember when phone companies used to leave all their phone models up like they were surrent.. was confusing as heck lol

cant really expect VM or any of the prepaids to get a current phone (the fact that prepaids are getting iphones is a shock lol)

I paid around $300 for mine, but that's what happens when you have no patience and want a phone right when it comes out. We all know that these prices drop eventually. It's a great deal for anyone buying it now.

This has been my favorite phone that I've owned so far. The funny thing is, with every other phone I've ever had, I kept my eye on the newer phones being released and couldn't wait to abandon whatever I had at the moment for something new. My last phone was the LG Marquee, and although the screen was really bright and it was such a light phone, the battery was horrible even for a smartphone, and it wasn't smooth. But with this phone, I've been mostly satisfied other than the famous error it came with, which is now fixed. I don't think I've held on to any phone as long as I've had this one.

Also, from GB to ICS there was a huge difference. I couldn't wait to leave GB behind. But although there are some definite improvements in JB (mmm, butter), I can still live with ICS. I can't say that I won't be salivating for some Key Lime Pie, though.

And even though I read about new phones, I still...am comfortable with this one, and for the first time, don't feel any rush to run out and get something else. I enjoy using it. And there's the 3d. Admittedly, I don't use it that much, but I still like having it, and the idea of it. Even when it's time to move on to a new phone, I never planned on selling this one, because I want to keep it around for the novelty.

I miss howardforums, that site had a thread for rumor phones coming to VM; it was pretty accurate in general. I really want to know what's VM's next flagship android device, last year's flagship device was the HTC evo v 4g & Samsung galaxy s 2. I couldn't wait for a new device so I jumped onto the HTC evo v 4g bandwagon, I might wait this year though, since I would've rather the s2 instead of the evo.

Edit: After doing a little research it seems like the evo v has a better community but the galaxy s2 is a better phone though. It also seems like whatever device comes first gets most of the community from the last device.

I feel you i'd love to know what's coming next......

It actually has a lot more to do with the Evo V inheriting the 3d's large user community than the fact that it was released first on Virgin. As to which is the better phone is definitely debatable though. :p

Though joking aside...I wouldn't mind knowing as well.

Though I'm pretty damn happy with this phone.

I think if we get LTE relatively soon, the only phones that would get me to get a new one would be the EvoLTE or a Note. Other than that....The Galaxy Victory was rumored to be coming our way and that's a meh phone.

I've been waiting for LTE myself. I'll switch over to the first LTE device that hits VM that isn't the galaxy reverb. The flagship device normally comes around summerish and winterish. Oh OB the S2 for VM can inherit the epic 4g community, as I have read, but needs a better base community to fully inherit it like us. The s2 for VM can use ROMs for the epic 4g, easier than we can the evo 3d. Didn't the epic 4g have a better community than the evo 3d? I still love our community though, one of the best communities on android.

I dunno. I know I'm probably going to get attacked for saying this...But I want to see a prepaid Blackberry on VM >_>;;

*gets shot*

We do, but it's a bad model of the curve.

If it was the old curve, the 8330, I'd be all over that in a heart beat. I LOVED that phone T.T

Yeah, a 3 year old Curve that they dropped at the end of last year. :p
OB

Just because a phone is old, doesn't mean it's no longer good. ;)

Though I had one of those models...it fell apart on me. Literally. The screen peeled off. o_O

I wonder why you guys want irrelevant phones for, android is one of...no excuse me, android is the best mobile OS world wide.

That's all a matter of opinion ;)

Don't get me wrong. Android is great.

However. I really enjoyed the blackberry UI and the keyboard and whatnot. It's personal preference.

You also have the iPhone fanatics who will say iOS is the greatest.

And you have Windows phone...Oh wait no one uses those things ;)

Apple is running out of original ideas for their devices, mostly old people use windows phones(my science teacher has one, the ui is extremely simple), and blackberry doesnt have a wide variety of apps like apple and iOS. The only thing apple have over android, is battery life and better apps.
