This will be my next phone after the Incredible...:D

worlds_largest_phone.jpg

i've seen those, they're pretty cool. what this picture doesn't show is that you flip it around and it's an 80's style ghetto-blaster. forget mp3's - this thing has a TURNTABLE.

Arggggg!!!! I feel like a kid buying his first bike! I hope it's good news I can't wait to pass on this Samsung Juke

Cool off guys, i wouldn't get excited too quickly...could be false alarm and isn't Incredible related...so take a deep breath.

I was reading about rooting today, and granted I'm new to android but I tinkered with blackberry OS a little so I'm not totally clueless. Will it be even worth it to root the Incredible if the processor is running at the full 1ghz??

Don't bash me for my grammar. It's early.

Longtime lurker here first time poster was worried about everyone trashing me! lol but anyways this forum has effectively brought my gpa down should b

Welcome! we're thinking about starting up a support group for the high school and college crowd who's GPA has taken a hit as a result of this thread...

How about starting one for professionals that have become non-productive because of this damn phone! ;)

UGHHHHHHHHHHHH..

False alarm guys... Go*dam* Verizon and their teasing!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even to their employees!!!!!!!!! I mean this is just cruel!!!!!!!!!!

Anonimac will post and explain in a bit

This is probably google-able, but what the F... Anybody know why all the Android OS versions are named for pastries...? Seems like they might go for something a little more sci-fi or robot-y...

It's Google haha plain and simple, they're different. If I had that kind of money, I would have probably done the same thing lol

Hey Viper, on the Body Glove Rubber case picture, it looked like there might be a little circle to the left of the verizon logo. Was this just 'noise' in the picture?

Just noise, sorry.

Viper, can you please clarify? The above two replies of yours were to two different questions that you just answered - one was mine, one was someone else's. I want the 2150mAh extended battery that you have listed in your accessories. You're saying that I will need to also buy the extended battery cover that is shown in the accessories. But then you indicate that if I were to buy the extended battery - that it should come with an extended battery door? I know this is the case with Seidio - when you buy their mammoth 3500mAh battery, you also get a back that can accommodate the added depth. In short, if I were to buy item #4, the 2150mAh battery, then I NEED TO BUY item #5 AS WELL, which is that backplate. Correct??? If so, then in this instance, the 2150mAh extended battery DOES NOT COME WITH AN EXTENDED BATTERY BACKPLATE, like Seidio's 3500mAh does.

Sorry to be so dense about this and belabor the point, but it's just not clicking with me. Thank you for all of your assistance, Viper!

It appears to me that he's saying that the extended backplate is included with the purchase of the battery. No need to purchase both of them individually.

You, sir, are welcome. Haha. And even though it wasn't listed on the site as being included, first thought was that Viper knew through first hand experience that larger batteries come with the backplates. ;):D

Most of the extended batteries of the last year or so come with the extra battery. Very few require you to buy the extended battery and than the phone. The extended back cover should be included with the purchase of the extended battery.

The only slight bad news for you guys might be that usually extended batteries are items we need to ship to you. They don't carry them in the store usually.

Viperboy; do you happen to know what the increase in width is with the extended battery? Or what it's comparable too or if its highly/lowly noticeable?

Not a clue, but I would assume it's gonna be pretty bulky.

Forgot to give a shoutout to Viper as well. Thanks for being patient with everyones questions. I am totally lost when it comes to this tech stuff. You have been a great help for newbies to smartphones like me:)

This next week is gonna be CRAZY for us! I have a good feeling our Incredible will be announced this week :) or a better name for it... HTC Crackhead. We all like crackheads waiting for our next fix lol

No problem, glad to help :D

Glad I could provide a laugh :D . I must get it from Uncle Steven. ;) Haha, but anyways, I was unfortunately the one who started the talk on the Evo. I was just questioning them announcing it as early as they did, and it just blew up. I never intended for that to happen, especially the way it did. Glad we're all back on track now though.

And I agree with you here. I love the way viper covers a vast assortment of posts with one reply. Very well organized, instead of cluttered when people respond to each post seperately.

I try :) I hate when people quote one person at a time and generate like 25 posts. Damn annoying. Multi-quote FTW!

OMFG....

I need a mod/admin NOW to watermark something for me so i can post it!!!!!!!!!

NOWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!

Ohhhhh, wonder what's gonna be posted. It's probably 'shopped :p :D

Look for a broader posting/article on Phandroid (if we even post it...some debate on whether this belongs on an Android site), but i'll let iBowToAndroid spill it...

Rooting the Incredible will be necessary for loading a custom ROM with full Flash support (at least until HTC officially releases one for the Incredible).

Don't root your phone. It will break or blow up and will void your warranty. /VerizonRantINeedToSayEveryDay

I would personally root it. It will allow alot of neat programs, plus you can control the CPU speed and make it run like an Eris to get better battery life if you want haha. Just keep in mind, if anyone sees that it is rooted, they can void your warranty. But really, no one looks for that - except me lol and if you broke your phone by messing with it and you're honest, I'm alright with it. If you lie to me... NO WARRANTY FOR YOU!!! :D
