This will probably get me banned. But in all seriousness.. How can you guys even consider supporting a company run by a CEO who makes statements like this:

Finally, if you're a high-bandwidth user of Verizon's smartphone data services, the company will soon hunt you down and throttle you. (The company has long had a maximum transfer limit on monthly data plans.)

I think it got lost in our bickering last night, but I seem to recall that someone posted that they were told by a VZW corporate store employee that the Incredible showed up in their system yesterday, and therefore an announcement is likely today.

Without debating the announcement, which, btw, I believe will not be made today (I hope I'm 100% wrong), can any of our resident VZW store employees confirm that the Incredible is no longer listed only in the "top secret" areas of the VZW system, but is actually now accessible by all store employees?

Sorry if this has been addressed, I couldn't find it.

Thanks!

VZW will probably release a press announcment after the microsoft one or something. Maybe some VZW reps will be there. I don't know. I expect VZW to make some sort of an announcment today, hopefully regarding their operation 6 takeoff/blastoff thingy their doing
Dunno. I think this will be a pretty big partnership between the two companies, possibly resulting in some special VZW voice/data plans just for the devices. Why would they want to undercut the message with the announcement of the Incredible?

It's looking like a slow week as far as tech news goes. VZW's goal is to generate continued buzz, not one giant PR dump followed by a 2 or 3 week wait.

I will be traveling from 4/29 to 5/4, should I wait to purchase the Incredible if it comes out during that time frame until I am back home and go to a local store, or should I buy it on the road at a Verizon store near where I will be?

Any disadvantages to buying on the road, will I still get the same Customer Service even if I buy a phone in FL and live in PA?

I am just thinking if I had an issue that Verizon would maybe give me a hard time if I didn't buy it at that store.

But he said he needed 100% coverage for his phone ;)

Hello everyone!
Long timer, First timer, waiting since Oct, etc etc.

I don't know if this has been posted or come up, but I saw this on CNET. It's a map that shows signal, data and network strength, etc in all zip codes, for all US carriers. I was surprised to see Sprint was so strong in my area, even beating out Verizon by quite a bit. So I'm wondering how accurate this is.

After seeing this, I am seriously considering waiting a few more weeks for the EVO 4g on Sprint, even though I've been waiting about 9 months for this INCREDIBLE baby to be born (and I might not even be the dad :().

Oh well, if you haven't seen it yet, here's the link:

Why do you have to sound so believable?! :p :D

I know, I just really want the incredible to be officially announced with official/final pictures. I'm not interested in this microsoft BS at all!

It'll suck if the incredible isn't announced until the last week of the month. :(

That's what his/hers/ours checking accounts are for! :D

Joking aside though, that's what my husband and I do. He doesn't blink when I bring home my millionth gadget or drop $100 at Sephora (yes, I am a walking contradiction - I love makeup, and I love geeky stuff!); I don't blink when he has to cover his son's rent for the 3rd month in a row (little background: DH is 15 years my senior, has a 20 year old son); bills still get paid on time.

Very much like this idea. Especially considering the wife F5s the bank account like we do this page. ;)

Where is NKT? Is he lurking because he knows something that's coming?

he is probably wondering why all these people think an announcement will be made regarding the incredible today

or hiding behind a curtain ready to throw an incredible at ballmer's head.
