Am I old, I really don't fit into this target market, and I'm 35, you need to be about 18 for this crap! Give me my Incredible damn you!

I hate to be a downer - but why on earth are some of you expecting the announcement of the incredible at a Microsoft presser:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

I'm not familiar with Phonealarm, but I'm guessing it switches your phone to quiet mode? If that is what you are looking for, then there is an app called Locale on the android market. It will change your phone's settings based on your GPS location. Just save locations like work, movies, church...and tell the phone what you want it to do and the next time you are in that GPS location, it will change to those settings. Also, you can set up reminders for certain locations. Example: Start a shopping list on your phone, where you are at the supermarket, it can alert you and show you the list so you don't forget anything.

it's $10 but it's going to be one of the first apps I get.

Thanks for the info, not exactly what I was looking for, but I may look at it to see what it can do. Phonealarm switches the phone to vibrate when the time on the phone matches a calendar entry that is marked as a "Busy" time. It can also be set up to switch modes at scheduled times, like going to night mode, meaning all radios off and silent, at bed time and going back to normal in the morning. I prefer to have my phone ring normally during the work day unless I am in a meeting, so I don't think the GPS mode switch will work for that. However, I could probably find reasons to use it for other things, like reminders.

Again, thanks for the info. :)

Trust me I'm not waiting for an HTC announcement at all. I know that won't happen. I'm just listening for the hell of it. By the way I'm a PS3 fan!

The Kin 2 has some of the features as the Incredible including an 8 MP camera and 8GB of onboard storage, but also include the Zune music software and a slide out qwerty keyboard. I still prefer the Incredible for its Android software, 3rd party apps, and flash support, but this thing might take some customers from the Incredible.

Especially if you can get some social network add ons witha $9.99 data plan instead of the $29.99 mandatory Android plan.

Only if they're absolutely clueless about their purchase.

I highly doubt it. This thing is for non-techies. If you are waiting for the Incredible, you are a techie.

this thing looks like a small childs toy, so pathetic. i think the software is almost too complicated for the younger little kids, but too childish for anyone else

Perhaps there is more reason for optimism because this is not a Verizon event?

Verizon can have their own event to announce the incredible so it is not as much as a conflict by promoting phones from 2 different manufacturers on the same day?

I know...a fools hope!

I stopped into a verizon store this morning while i was getting my mini serviced...i asked about any "announcements" or "new phones" coming.

The lady was all stressed ...she had been franticly trying to find into on the web as her email and phones were blowing up over the new iPhone that was going to be released today....i kind of rolled my eyes and started to walk away.....then turned and said try googling "Official HTC Incredible"

Her eyes got huge when she saw the forum.....but still no info from her.:mad:
