Root got the motion last night and....

its already been updated via ota, manually updated (version E), rooted, soft bricked, un-bricked, rerooted, crt animations added, new 4g icon, and google now. these are just the ones i can think of lol. the only thing i CANNOT STAND is the dinky little itty bitty tiny screen (im coming from the esteem) its a nice device with A LOT of power!

no worries, just putting it out there :P we still have a locked bootloader so we're in need of some people who can crack the ish out of bootloaders :)

Yah, I was pretty pissed when my Connect (which was pretty tweaked and awesome) got stolen and there wasnt a rebate on it any more, so I had to buy the Motion. Great phone (and I do love how small it is, if not the screen), but nowhere NEAR as good of a phone as the connect, FAR better screen, I like GB over ICS, and when tweaked properly, just about as fast as the Motion. Oh well, things happen, and I dont have enough money to justify buying another connect.

Try the Spirit or GS3, you'll never go back :p
 
Hi i am an esteem immigrant too :)

Yeah it s hard to read some of the articles with this phone, you will have to manually zoom in and out.

Other than that spec wise (cpu, ram, os), price wise (50 after mir), battery wise (lasts longer) this is a nice uprade phone

It really makes it difficult switching from my nexus 7 to the motion... It wasn't that big of a leap for the n7 to the esteem but now its life changing! Lol I love being able to use Google now out and about now!

Yes Motion has a lot of Power, you'll see when surfing the Web while on a call and the little

phone doesn't even glitch.

The screen well the very similar new LG Spirit has the 4.5 inch screen.
 
so just an update. i hate the tiny screen but im getting 14-15 hours of battery life and still at 50%.... thats with 4g off most of they day while im at work. this thing is a beast. ok i think its like the beasts little son lol. the radio seems to be better on this then the esteem. i have better service and less time without a signal (0% vs. upwards of 80% on my esteem)

You can go on the web while in a middle of a call, something the Optimus m could never do unless on Wifi :p

Not sure about the esteem...

the esteem was suppose to have this feature (VoLTE) and is capable of doing this but it needs a software update to enable it that metro never sent out... yeah i love turning on my data while in call and have my email ready when i get out of call (at lunch i re-enable my data)

maybe its thats not VoLTE? lol simultaneous talk and data... ive been told it has something to do with duel core prossesors (dont think that is even possible....) but the motion is single core.... hmmm... and so it the esteem
 
Some verizon phones are capable of simultaneous voice/data due to have dual radio chips as opposed to 1 that switches between the different types of connections. It results in weaker battery life though usually because it has to power both. Maybe that's the situation?

that seems way more possible. lol i hear people say "its because of the duel core processor" and i just shake my head... that has nothing to do the radios of the phone. lol
