I've only owned LG phones since switching from Sprint to Verizon when I joined the military. Like clockwork, every two years, they fail. I was convinced NE2 was created for me.

Never learned my lesson, because they were always the best dumb phones, from my perspective.

I'm not the only one...and I've had to constantly return it for replacement, along with SEVERAL other customers. If you had a good LG, then good for you, otherwise, I know what I am talking about.

Who cares? LG sucks. I had hear great things about them, so I broke down and got one after owning several dependable Moto phones. Nothing but problems!

Just saying thats what I believe is coming down the line.....

As for you "sucks" take my experience has been the opposite, I owned LG's for years now now I have Samsung and its alright. My wife has gone through 3 droids from slider issues to 2 of them having proximity sensor issues...so I think motos suck

If I had the patience I think the Shadow is gonna be a great phone. I've really only read good tings about the quality of the DROID, and its biggest 'flaw' is the hardware qwerty. Considering I'm still using a Razr, whose only big problem is battery life at this point, I'm a Moto fan.

HTC's N1 problems leave me with just a little bit of worry about their hardware quality, but I'm willing to take the risk.

Well that's a little silly. You might not like the phone, but: a) Teens have a right to be consumers too. b) Teens spend a ton of money - not just the phones but the minutes and messaging plans. c) That spending goes to VZW's bottom line, which means they have more money to develop and implement higher-line phones and the network required to make them run more smoothly.

The mass market devices, while they might nor be for you, are what allow you to ultimately enjoy what you really want. I guarantee, those silly devices are funding you, you're not funding them.

The problem is that this isn't going to be a teen/tween device. A. Its fugly, something that teens/tweens are so self conscious about in today's society. B. They will cry for the iPhone over this no matter what because the vast majority of teens/tweens are brainwashed into the mighty Apple C. The promotional videos are intolerable with about 3 seconds out of 30 actually showing the device.

FWIW....

Today my father had a meeting with his Verizon reps...he mentioned regional people...regarding his companies continued wireless needs. Several in attendance had just received their "HTC Incredibles" and RAVED about them. One party mentioned availability in two weeks. Mind you I have been feeding him Incredible news for months...and they had strongly toed the company line when he asked on my behalf. Today there was open talk of the HTC Incredible. His personal contact at Verizon stated that she would be at her computer at the immediate time of release as so my phone can be ordered. Sounds very good for two weeks release.

I've been of this and the Passion forum since around last October. At this point I'm getting frustrated by the wait but am not yet ready to get a Droid or switch carriers.

Well, that's a fair question. I'm actually personally torn about what to do. I'm putting myself in the shoes of someone receiving this info and i'm not sure what i'd want to hear. Honestly, i'm giddy as can be on my end, but i do owe more than just diarrhea of the mouth to you guys so i'm also putting these things through the ringer before releasing because i can tell you a few folks have already tried to be "funny" with junk.

So, having said that...not trying to build suspense at all...just excited to tell you guys AS SOON AS i know something, but also trying to put that something through some filters...not sure, trying to do the right thing...you guys tell me if you want me to just hold off and spill it when it's been sufficiently vetted vs. telling you up front and then maybe it means there's a few hour wait until i can post it all. I'm completely open to input and i'll go with majority opinion on this one.

I am sorry, but you are wrong. These devices will sell like crazy, especially the Kin Two. The iPhone is not on Verizon, and will not be for a very long time. Sure, most kids will want something similar to the iPhone, but most have no clue it is headed for Verizon.
