Help flaky file transfer from Gnex to PC

I am trying to transfer files (some very small misc files and some large AVI files about 1 GB each) between two Windows 7 machines using my Galaxy Nexus running with JB.

On the PC with Windows 7 (64-bit Home Premium) I can easily transfer the files to the phone with the USB cable.

On the other PC with Windows 7 (Enterprise) I can only copy small files (i.e. simple Word/Excel docs, small JPEGs) from the phone to the PC. When I try to transfer an AVI file I get an error message "THE REQUESTED RESOURCE IS IN USE", and from that point on I can no longer even send small files over.

I've tried pretty much everything to get this to work. USB debugging is enabled on the phone so it should work.

I have moved this thread into the Galaxy Nexus forums to see if you can get some better assistance.

Have you made sure that you are updated on USB drivers on the second computer?

Try installing pdanet on that PC. The USB drivers are the only ones that seem to work on every windows OS. Its how many of us were originally able to connect our phones in order to root. The Samsung provided drivers are crap. Once the drivers are up and running you can uninstall the pdanet software.

hm... I find sambadroid or samba filesharing better for small files, and just use adb push/pull for large files.

I also used to use droidexplorer - gui for adb. But am not sure about its current status.

Also you can try plugging in the phone via usb to your computer and thenn running windows update. I've found drivers that way too.

Also... of course, you could try rebooting both computers and the phone just to make sure there are no weird processes doing anything funny... but I assume you have tried that.
