Well...stop your b**ch*ng!!!

I'm rockin' a RAZR.....a FRAKKIN RAZR while I wait on this thing!!!

At least you can check your email :P

yeah me too... except i was using a Moto Krave til it broke in half so i'm borrowing my sister's old pink RAZR til i get my new android... yeah my cheapness is stomping the embarassment for now but it may not last long... sigh....

Okay,....new plan......those of us over 60,.....oh,...wait,...Steven, how old are you???.....we go to our favorite VW store,...strip naked,....handcuff ourselves to the "log in please" machine,...abd STAY THERE until they put THIS PHONE in our hands!! Are ya with me???

I'm afraid not. At 62 I appear to be 30 yrs old and strikingly handsome only in my mind. :D

Everyone else. Enough with the Kin! Now, KIN we have our Incredible?

I know, I know. But when?

I went into my Local corporate Verizon store today, shortly before 1pm EST (Microsoft / Verizon announcement) and talked to a sales associate who was completely unaware of the Microsoft / Verizon announcement today. She said that a lot of people come in knowing more about new products than they (sales associates) know. Funny stuff.

i think they get paid for playing 'uninformed'

To be clear, I'm getting the Inc. It looks like an awesome phone and a perfect upgrade from my BB Storm.

Inc. looks like a perfect upgrade to any phone...really

<---Makin' like a tree and....

Root? Leaf? Wilt? Grow? Sprout? Pollinate? <---- yea u like that last one didnt you ;)

...bark ? :D

Any of you guys think about jumping the ship for Sprint?

Trust me that Evo is one sweet device

I'm switching from Sprint to Verizon, mainly for the coverage. The HTC Incredible eases the pain of the switch.

NO carrier can currently beat Sprint on plan pricing or phones. For $69.99 I get:

  • 450 anytime minutes
  • free mobile to mobile on ANY carrier
  • unlimited texting
  • unlimited data
  • free Sprint navigation
  • free Sprint TV
  • new phone every year at new phone prices
  • EDIT: free night & weekends starting at 7:00pm
I'm not in a 4g area, but I was looking forward to buying the HTC Evo 4g and an Android table or HP Slate to attach to the built-in hotspot.

But at work we moved to a building where I get NO voice and data connection. Verizon and AT&T gets good to great voice and data connection in my new building.

I spend 8 to 12 hours a day at work and I CANNOT be without a data connection on my phone for that amount of time. So, I'm moving to Verizon and is willing to pay a higher price for less to get a data connection where I spend most of my time.

Wow, I can't believe I just finally reached the last page of today's news. Feel free to quiz me on hockey, your life stories, and anything Microsoft Pink related. I think I've got it all down ;)

So I was thinking, now that we have have the "May" timeframe for the Kin 1&2, can we use the info available for those phones as a barometer for the Incredible release? For example, does the VZW inventory system show units on hand for the microsoft phones? Are they in the InfoManager website with accessories? Are dummy units appearing in the same database that the Incredible dummy units are showing up? If the answers are no, then I'd think that the Incredible launch in April seems right on target (further backing up the 4/29 date). Can anyone with VZW access do some undercover research?

My sister works at a Verizon Store in FL. I hit her up for info all the time. She always says the same thing: "You always know what is going on before I do..."

I texted her about 10 minutes ago about the releases today and she said: "I had a customer tell me the N1 and the Incredible were coming out today. No confirmation yet."

She is in Florida and it is 6pm there already. I find it strange that they would have heard nothing yet...

I don't doubt that most sales people are in the dark until a supervisor says: "Hey, the Incredible came out today."
"Whats that? Oh its the new Android phone from HTC."
"It runs a special user interface though, like the ERIS."
"We will be sending out a memo on the specs sometime this month.
"Just make sure you let people know it's available."

Anonimac here you go. hope this helps for the future flames lol

It doesn't really...just means we'll hopefully get even more info, maybe some pics, i don't know...the situation continues to develop but nothing today changes the reported release date.
I'd be VERY happy just to get some confirmed specs and pictures would be a great bonus. A release date is secondary to me at this point. I believe the Best Buy release date of the 29th and my NE2 kicks in on the 29th so I'm not concerned about the date.

Yea, my Dad went into a VZW store today because his NE2 is ready. They knew nothing about a new HTC phone and tried to sell him on the Droid. My Dad really doesn't know anything about the Incredible, buy I just told him to wait a little longer because the Droid is about to die. :D

VZW Rep Encounters...

My dad went to a store in Greenville,SC to make sure he had some ne2s on his account and mine. In the process he began speaking of a phone coming out with a great camera (inc.). The VZW rep said he knew exactly what he was talking about but he wasn't allowed to say anything. He gave my dad his number and said call me in about 2 weeks and I'll know the release date and will save you one or two of those phones...04/11/10

I went to the VZW store close to me in Aiken, SC and proceeded to see if I had a ne2 available. He said yes then I asked if he knew anything about a new HTC phone coming out with a "great" camera. He looked up at me and grinned like he knew what I was talking about then he said the HTC Hero? and I was like nooo the htc incredible. He knew I was talking about the incred. from the beginning and then proceeded to "check" his email to see if there was anything in there about it. Nothing. Then he said I've seen the screenshot online, yall (android forums) will probably know about the release before I do. I think he was lying. His body language def. said so. After I mentioned HTC Incredible he started getting really fidgety and looking around him the whole time to make sure no one was looking. Just letting you guys know my experience today.

Also if you haven't checked out the desktop background i shopped here it is...click on the link then click on the picture to get a more high quality version

Anon, do you know what the specific purpose is for your source getting the incredible this week? Just as a perk or something? I'm hoping testing is completed by now...thanks.

At retail price or new line price?

My Verizon Wireless story:

Just got home from visiting my local Verizon store on the way from work.

The sales manager I spoke to knew about the HTC Incredible, he couldn't give me any specifics, but he was hinting heavily at an official announcement this week.

That falls in line with our previous information, that 6 devices would be announced this week.

I'm just glad that I was able to sort out some other details for my swap from AT&T to Verizon.

My company discount is applicable to the phone, voice plan as well as data plan and I get a sweet 25% off accessories too! :D

Supposedly I can be in and out of the Verizon store inside of a half hour with my newly ported number and brand spanking new Incredible as soon as it launches.

Can any other folks who have swapped carriers to Verizon comment on their experience changing over?

Okay even if the phone doesn't come out in June I'll be happy with July.

I won't!! I'm going to buy the incredible, and I want this incredible to blow all the other phones away on verizon for more than two months... Haha

Yeah all I was saying is that the "Code 6" are for Q2, so the announcement this week is extremely unlikely to be about the Shadow.

In all seriousness though, it does look like it will be a great phone, I just find it hard to believe it will really be out that soon. No evidence to back that up other than that every other verizon phone rarely comes as early as people want or hope when the first rumors come around (e.g. This thread being a million pages long and dating back months and months, MWC, CTIA... etc)

Get a google voice account and you never have to get a new number :)
