Yep. It's a chipset security enhancement. It fixes the Exynos vulnerability bug that was found a little while ago.
AT&T Galaxy Note 2 receiving small security fix OTA update | Android Central
You're on Sprint however I'm assuming it's the same thing.
It's update to 4.1.2.
Now, notifications can be re-ordereed and re-arranged.
i've heard that updating to 4.1.2 will draw more power and thus drain the battery faster.
has anyone who've updated experienced this or is it just an isolated incident?
So far, battery seems the same to me. I'll report back in the morning.

Agree, seems the same to me. Since the update this morning, battery at 38%; 14h+ with 4h+ screen on time.
I actually prefer my home button taking me to my home page. I haven't done the update so I'm wondering as long as I'm not using a lock will it still function as usual.One thing that I did notice is, it actually fixes the issue that people were having where pressing the home button will go to the home page.
Now, when I press the home button (while on standby), the phone will go to my widgetlocker lockscreen. Not sure how it will act with the stock lockscreen, but I do like this fix a lot (although, I'd prefer to be able to turn that off completely and have the power button as the only way to take the phone off standby).
I just got it this morning but didn't do it yet cause I didn't want to loose root until I can find the time to re-root if necessary.Got 4.1.2 last week 2/13 was discussing on another thread.![]()

@DrEx....Hi stranger!!!
Understandable regarding the lock screen.
I like the fact the power button would always leave me in the app I was using as opposed to the home button taking me back home.
I haven't used a lock screen for a while now so I never considered pocket dialing; probably b/c I'm always on it in one way or another.
I remember. I use the app but darn shame I cant remember the name of it.Yeah, there were 2 things that really bothered me about the Note 2. One was every text message waking the phone up and the other was the home button going directly to the homescreens. As you know, I found a solution for the text messaging thing, but never found a solution to prevent the home button from working at all while on standby.
Since I pocket all of my phones, I have a higher probability of the home button causing issues for me than others that use a belt clip or for women that use a purse. I prefer the power button being the only button that can wake the phone up because of this.
I updated this morning but noticed that the Home screen rotation does not work. Is this only available for tablets?

@ScandaLeX Where have you been?![]()
