I agree completely.... it seems that the phone will be released in a little over 2 weeks and yet there are no official videos, pictures, or specs, or even acknowledgment of the phone's existence... yet the EVO has all of those and isn't out until sometime in the summer? Verizon's strategy on this phone is confusing and frustrating!

I understand the frustration, but is it really confusing? The Droid is still selling like hot cakes and VZW just started a new marketing push (making it what, a six month promotional campaign?). This is the exact reason why VZW has been mum on talk of the Incredible -- it doesn't make business sense to cannibalize a product that is still selling.

That being said, they can't do this forever. Someone on another forum I frequent spent some time with the Incredible last week and had this to say:

"I got to use the incredible at a Vzw meeting a couple of days ago. It might just be the phone to make me switch to an all touchscreen device. Gorgeous screen, fast as hell, smooth menus, thin and light."

When asked about the processor being underclocked...

"I dunno about the underclocking. The HTC guy said it was a full 1ghz. It doesn't matter either way, if this thing was underclocked it still freaking screamed."

When asked what it smelled like...

"Bacon."

When asked if the back of the device would be a ridiculous color, as some leaked photos implied...

"Nope. Black."

And finally, when asked what the release window looks like...

"29th its looking like."

I'm shooting up my voyager with my brother's airsoft gun when I get the Inc. the touchscreen on my phone is broken so I can only use the keyboard part :(

I was stuck with a HTC Mogul for a while, but it had one feature I really loved. You could set it up to automatically change the phone to vibrate during the time you had an event on the calendar. Will the incredible have this feature?

OK, I actually did a little homework (Scary thought :D) and found a couple of apps that I am going to try out for this functionality. Unfortunately, I can't try them until I get my incredible. :( They are Setting Profiles and Tasker. The first I found at appbrain, and the description looks good. The second isn't there, but the posts I read about it make me think it's still in beta, to be released soon.

Hope this helps, and if you try them out before I do, please let me know how they work.

P.S. Looks like you're a Civil Engineer? Cool, I'm a double geek (EE) myself.
