Easier way: open terminal emulator, type 'su' (this may not be necessary), then type 'cat /proc/last_kmsg > /sdcard/lastkmsg.txt'

Look near the end. The kernel ran out of memory and this is fatal when talking to the modem.

You are on AOKP right? There is a memory leak in AOKP that may be causing or exacerbating the issue. We are investigating.

yes, I'm on aokp42

I never had any reboots with cm10.1
 
I haven't made myself heard in a while but i always keep up with everything going on and i must say that your acceptance into their ranks is well deserved. I may actually try aokp again now.

Looks like it was heating up quite a bit too. I've found the memory and freeze lag is more substantial in aokp... Must be the kernel leak
 
Does anyone try and use Viber with this? Its been my main tool for calls/texts but since I flashed CM10.1 beta 4 calls do not work...?

Thought I would put this out there to see if it was just an issue with my phone or anyone else experiencing this (get bugs ironed out before preview thread is made) if I have signal bars shown, after a few mins they either fully disappear or show no signal even though I have service. (Just visual bug, nothing else) and baseband string shows unknown. Also it took between 58-130sec for initial GPS lock after reboots. Clear skies and outside. Anyone else having GPS lock lag on this ROM?

I am also having the signal bars issue. Often it shows me having no bars of service but I still have working 4g.

I just tested my gps for the first time inside my house and had a lock in under 20 seconds. It's been since yesterday that I've rebooted but like I said, this is the first time I've used gps.

gave thanks for verifying GPS locks earlier than my phone. I had same issue with CM10.1 pre4. Must be something screwy with my system. I will cab flash and hope it permanently fixes my issue. Temporary fix was to install US gpsconfig file from PMR

Once this goes live with official AOKP team support how do we go about getting the updates? I'm assuming they aren't' going to be posted here and I'm pretty ignorant as to anything outside of AF since this is the only forum I use with any regularity.

tdm is going to be the device maintainer for the Spectrum. I'm sure he will let us know where to get the updates.
