Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

You folks have been dealing with my sappy Evan pics for a year or so, so why quit now.:p

I snapped this one today of our dog waiting for his bus to come.:)

Hey Pup.... what's that white stuff on the ground? 78 ° in Houston today, leaves me wanting to go find some snow somewhere.
Cute pic!

Yeah, it's just nasty and cold outside. We're having tomato soup and grilled cheese for dinner. :)

Halon, we love our Mountek for CD player mounts in the car (since we have different phones). I'm skeptical it would really handle a tablet weight though. Best of luck!

The one I posted a link for isn't a Mountek. This is a Xenomix, for tablets.

Haha my wife's cousin was stationed in Fargo, ND, coming from GA. he was glad when he got out of there!

I bet. I keep looking at the news, he has never even been in snow, other than flurries. Let alone, run in it, shovel it, and whatever other physical torture they will impose on him lol. Good thing he is completely fit. With 4% body fat. I think he has a fighting chance.

Great to hear that your son is following in my footsteps, Kymberlin! :D

Let him know that school Navy isn't the REAL Navy. The real adventure is out there. So tell him to hang in there. He'll have great days and awful days, just like any other job. He'll just have them in places and situations that would make other people envious.

And get paid for it.

Give him a high-five for me when you see him and tell him I said WELL DONE!

:)

P.S. And yes, Great Lakes is a miserable place to winter over. Brrrrr!

The good news dread is you're really not missing much yet because the software on the Pebble is still pretty infantile. The only thing I've been able to download are different watch faces. I think the potential is there, but it needs some development.

I do like the vibrating alarm feature. What I didn't realize was the alarm stays active on the watch until you delete it. I was not a happy camper when my wrist started vibrating at 2:30 this morning when I was trying to sleep for my flight back to the States.

I'm also looking forward to doing more things on my phone (like setting alarms) and pushing them to the watch.
I enabled notifications via separate Tasker profiles and the one Task that sends a variable title (based on app) and message (based on notification) for only the apps I want to be notified of. Here are some good recipes for the Pebble Notifier and Tasker.

Let me know if you need any help Ron.

I'm sure lil Lin will be happy when he leaves as well. The news is he gets to go to Pensacola Fl next. That should melt him a bit.

I am quite sure he will take this in stride. He is an amazing kid. On his DEP he was making sure he could pass the EXIT portion of the physical challenges ahead of him. Exceeding 80 pullups by the time he left. And since he is a FB player running was no problem for him. He had a very strong upbringing so I am sure he is doing well. Can't wait to hear from him though... Kinda a Mama thing I'm sure.

Tell your son thank you Kymberlin! We so appreciate his serving!

Will do, I am so proud !

The Glass looks pretty cool, but atm I'm keeping busy playing with my Pebble.

I have to admit it was kind of cool using it in meetings the last few days. The phone was on silent, but my wrist would "vibrate" and I could see who was calling or read the incoming text by looking at my "watch."
Really.....no one took this???!!!! :p

Gah, now Ron has his Pebble!
Not sure I'll ever get mine. HAD to order the white one too. :p
Just watched the Glass video on The Verge. Still not convinced this is something I'll use. Who knows though how it'll develop.
I ordered 5/15, confirmed payment on 5/19. Haven't heard anything on it yet though.

Speaking of haircuts, got another one for you, my daughter decided to play barbershop with my youngest yesterday, he know has three bald spots on his head from where she cut his hair off. :p That little girl is trouble!
Wow! She exceeds anything I tried so you have all my blessings and sympathies with her. :D

I'm starting realize that when just about everyone you know is married and/or has kids, life is pretty boring. When I was married everyone was single. I've been single and now everyone is married.
I have the same problem. Add in unemployed and I have no one to play with during the day.

Tell your son thank you Kymberlin! We so appreciate his serving!
:ditto:

Hey BB, nice to see your self control, lol. Morning Chief, JMar and Kid. Hang in there, we are still rooting for you! Captain must be flying or he surely could not resist. Have a great day everyone!
