"I'm gonna have red beans for dinner..."

Props to whoever knows where that quote came from, it was in a movie scene and it was completely random and off topic from what was actually going on at the time, so I found it appropriate for all the "off topic" haters.;)

Head Over Heels

Strong work, wasn't sure if anyone here would place that, and even more impressive that you found that little post of mine buried in here with everything else:D You win the trivia prize for the day, too bad I don't have anything Incredible to give you...

So we don't know if it has the same screen or not, what's been reported is that whatever screen it has (hardware wise) the multi-touch issues on the N1 are no longer there. I don't think it's clear if that's the result of a different screen (hardware) or a software fix.

Anon, a request.

Being that you should have some sort of access to your sources phone. Can you have them look at the screen and see if it uses the PenTile Matrix for its display such as the N1 does?

I find that hard to believe. Maybe he is confused and meant the Droid will drop down to the Eris' price.

Asterdroid, I don't think so he says this:

"Reason (heres your scoop) on 4/29, we are releasing the HTC Incredible, another Android device even more powerful than the Motorola Droid, at the same Eris price point. We also will eventually release the Nexus One, but testing has revealed issues with the phone and no release date is currently available."

Verizon is bringing this upon themselves...

If Verizon wouldn't hold out till the bitter end on release dates a lot of this could be avoided. I bet Sprint doesn't have people buying phones as much expecting to trade for Evo...cause they have a good idea when it's coming. When someone knows of a phone that's coming out, but really needs one right away they settle on a phone that's not really the one they want,no one really enjoys swapping phones, but with no info what are they to do?
Like I've been saying...Verizon as far as carrier service for voice and data, excellent; you really can't find better anywhere else. As far as customer service and doing the right thing for the customer...Yeah not so hot.

But grammatticaly, with proper use of commas, you can take out what's between the commas to complete the sentence... such as...

"Reason (heres your scoop) on 4/29, we are releasing the HTC Incredible, another Android device even more powerful than the Motorola Droid, at the same Eris price point."

"Reason (heres your scoop) on 4/29, we are releasing the HTC Incredible | at the same Eris price point."

wow, you wanna start this NOW?

Oh they're STILL crying.

Holmgren leaves the leagues leading rusher on the bench on 2nd and 3rd and shorts and has 'Mathew' as they like to call him, throw it down the field multiple times, yet they want to blame the refs. That's why Holmgren cried so much - to take the focus off how crappy of a coaching job he did in that game. Anybody that knows anything about football can see that. I live 300 miles away from Seattle and I still hear the whining. That's why I love sporting my Steeler gear all the time!

couldn't agree more.

WOW! THAT WOULD BE TRULY INCREDIBLE! But really? Come on??? One can only hope;)

But it begs the question: How could the Inc possibly have the same price point of the Eris??? That would be the icing on this incredible cake but I don't see how.

As a High School teacher, I see what all the kids are bringing in. Not many have iphones, but a few do. I also have a couple kids with droids. I am definitely not in a well-off area, and am often amazed at what these kids parants will buy for them. Many students WANT iphones/smart phones, but not too many are able to convince their parents to purchase them. That being said, I think the Kin phones will do very well.

WOW. I just said this to my wife. I am a high School teacher too and I told my wife, "I'm sick of the kids having cooler phones than I have."

Yeah it would be incredible if Verizon priced it at $79.99 - doubt that.

When first launched the prices were $199 for the Droid and $99 for the Eris...

Maybe we'll see the Incredible at the $99 point but I HIGHLY doubt that.

$199 seems right with a rebate...

I'd love to contact him... However, he left no identifiying ways to contact him. Perhaps we can have someone with more IT experience than I have to analyze the Craigslist posting and find out his IP and hunt him down for answers... Sorry Guys...

too much off topic, bacon, SME definitions, emotional rage, other carrier or phone discussions, what you ate today, 1 or 10 posts is enough but the reality is close to 10 pages a day. Im skipping all this, Im goin for the last page and thats it. back to work.

a big thanks to the members who are actually not letting the wait get to them and posting related info!

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this place wouldnt be what it is without you

Probably means the original price point. Not sure what that was w/ 2yr and a rebate, but it sounds good to me.

Also, I thought Eris was going to get the 2.1 update. They have been working on it, seems weird they would put all the effort in and then scrap it?

Yes, one can only hope but it is a fool's hope. :) We all know this phone is going to be around $199 after rebate. It just follows VZW's MO. If they were to introduce this phone at $99 (the starting price of the Eris) then the Droid would have to be dropped down to like $49 or $79.

I see the Droid staying at $199 and eventually dropping to $149 and finally $99.

FWIW

I just came across this as a recent posting my local Craigslist... (I have an RSS feed setup to pass me all posts in Cell Phones with the word Verizon included.) It is just kind of interesting that it popped up there! Only thing that surprised me was the same price point as the Eris! Also, he mentions the iPhone & iPad...

Dublin Ohio is home of a Verizon Wireless corporate center... (270 & 33 for those in Columbus)[/QUOTE

My companie's home office is there too... road trip!

Hmm...this forum is still acting wacky for me.

Anyways my 13 year old cousin has an iPhone while I am over here chugging away on a voyager only texting and calling.

Thanks for all the new information and for the exciting news that a forum member will be able to supply us with a LOT more info on this phone!:D
