too much off topic, bacon, SME definitions, emotional rage, other carrier or phone discussions, what you ate today, 1 or 10 posts is enough but the reality is close to 10 pages a day. Im skipping all this, Im goin for the last page and thats it. back to work.

a big thanks to the members who are actually not letting the wait get to them and posting related info!

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this place wouldnt be what it is without you
And what other website do you work for that takes bits from here and posts it? ;)

But it begs the question: How could the Inc possibly have the same price point of the Eris??? That would be the icing on this incredible cake but I don't see how.

the retail price of the eris is still around $500 so it wouldn't be that hard to believe

Yes, one can only hope but it is a fool's hope. :) We all know this phone is going to be around $199 after rebate. It just follows VZW's MO. If they were to introduce this phone at $99 (the starting price of the Eris) then the Droid would have to be dropped down to like $49 or $79.

I see the Droid staying at $199 and eventually dropping to $149 and finally $99.

Why does anyone pay these prices when you can get the Droid for $20 on Amazon?

Now more on topic, I'm seriously stressing over this phone now. I can't wait until I have one in my hands. However, after purchasing the BB Storm 1 without a test run I'm a little gun shy and will be certain I give the Incredible a good 'once over' to make sure I'm not wishing phone death 6 months down the line. But based on everything I've seen and heard I feel warm and fuzzy inside.

Also, my contact who tests the phones for HTC didn't get to test the Incredible, he was testing the Desire. But he said the Desire was the best phone he's had his hands on (previous iPhone user) and said from what he knows the Incredible is at WORST an equal counter to the Desire.

More warm and fuzzys....

stupid question:
what was eris's price point? wasnt it only $99 with a new two year contract/extension? while the droid was $199? does this mean the incredible will only be $99?

I politely ask you not to use "WORST" and "Incredible" in the same sentence. mmmmkay? Thanks. :)

ok im just going to lay it on the line here....... i had a dream about this phone!!!!!!!! i know that is messed up but i actually had it in my hands and it was freakin awesome! maybe im spending to much time on here but keep looking for that one update we are all waiting for!! thanks to all that keep us updated

I know it's not a very large or extensive poll, but I think it's probably pretty accurate to the breakdown of iphone ownership.

Those numbers would put about 400,000 iphones in the hands of children and teens under the age of 18. That's a big number, but I don't think it comes close to justifying using language like "most" or "all".

Ok, I think I'm done. :)

Poll: What's the average age of iPhone owners
Re-read my post. It said that in families that bought iPhone (that I knew = unscientific), it was mostly the children that were the first to get the phone. I did not say that most children had iPhones.

That being said, the point is that the youth market is not small in size nor are its consumers unsophisticated. Making & marketing "dumbed down" products for them may result in a lot of missed opportunity!

469.99 is the price point for the Eris w/o rebates or anything. The Moto Droid is 559.99. Id the Inc truly will be priced @ 469.99 this would be amazing.

Ok... I'm back and I'm all pumped up.

Sister update... I asked her to look the HTC Desire and told her that the Incredible will be somewhat better. Hopefully, she'll use her 30 worry free to go over to the Incredible from her new Tour. Android with Sense UI simply burns the Blackberry OS, imHo. :) :)

See? I can post on topic, too! :)

lol at the madness. heres a thought, Im a VZ cust waiting for the incredible and here to get info and timeline on the phone like most of the other people here. IM Just not getting paranoid or psychotic like most of you. get over it. this kind of response to my post is what I was talking about.

FWIW

I just came across this as a recent posting my local Craigslist... (I have an RSS feed setup to pass me all posts in Cell Phones with the word Verizon included.) It is just kind of interesting that it popped up there! Only thing that surprised me was the same price point as the Eris! Also, he mentions the iPhone & iPad...

Dublin Ohio is home of a Verizon Wireless corporate center... (270 & 33 for those in Columbus)
I hope thats real, but any one could of posted that. Maybe even someone from here .

Where's your pumping iron room, anon.. I am starting to think it's shopped, and that you're really a techo nerd.. and a wimp! WIMP!! ;)

Oh they're STILL crying.

Holmgren leaves the leagues leading rusher on the bench on 2nd and 3rd and shorts and has 'Mathew' as they like to call him, throw it down the field multiple times, yet they want to blame the refs. That's why Holmgren cried so much - to take the focus off how crappy of a coaching job he did in that game. Anybody that knows anything about football can see that. I live 300 miles away from Seattle and I still hear the whining. That's why I love sporting my Steeler gear all the time!

WOW!!! I was just kiddin' around because we're all frustrated with news on the Incredible. I clearly said let's not start this and ya did it anyway. Mistakes were made:o, absolutely, but proving that the refs were epically bad isn't difficult and I've heard dozens of non-biased professionals agree. Now let's keep this thread Incredible. :)

I'd love to contact him... However, he left no identifiying ways to contact him. Perhaps we can have someone with more IT experience than I have to analyze the Craigslist posting and find out his IP and hunt him down for answers... Sorry Guys...

You can post a "RE.his post titlel" and ask him a question and see if he responds.
